Never trust PTs man unless you are in a proper Strength and Conditioning suite (like the one at a uni that has a top sports facility)

Nah you can never focus on one type of training and expect results immediately. Personally I'm a Rugby player and I like to use all different kinds of training methods to keep it fresh but still get the same sort of results I would get if I stuck solely to heavy weightlifting.

The one rule though is anything but Crossfit.
