superman has been calculated to move around couple of trillions of times faster than light with his best showings coming from his various bouts with flash, giving him top speed of over quadrillion times the speed of light.

if he couldnt move faster than light then he wouldnt be able to tag nearly anything worth their salt in dc universe...


not to mention kryptonite has a low range of effect, doesnt make his face melt(even then he can regenerate from his skeleton alone) and throwing it into the sun wouldnt really do anything to help bats...

Sure, superman is limitless in his powers, that's his whole point. But kryptonite removes his powers pretty much instantly, or at least it weakens him to a more "peak human" condition unless you're talking about that time he became immune to it, but that was an alternate storyline anyways .

Assuming bats knew he was gonna be kicked into the sun, with enough kryptonite to irradiate the whole solar system, he likely would have told Alfred to give supes the note the necessary amount of time later to have the green rock take effect.

And whilst kryptonite doesn't melt supes, prolonged exposure will kill him.
