Recycle alone is HARDLY "all those moves", but whatever works man.

When it copies a pokemon, does it turn into a regular or shiny copy of it?
#95 - kaephoon (19 minutes ago) [-]
Regular version, I changed to my Hypno to Paralyze it and it copied into a regular Hypno.

I found a shiny Spearow within like 5 hours of playing Pokemon Sun. Immediately boxed it because idgaf about Fearow. With any luck I can trade it for something cool that I can actually use in battle.

Get a Smeargle with only recycle, let Ditto Transform into it, switch to a Pokemon with Trick or similar moves and switch to it a Leppa Berry.

Boom, it can do NOTHING, and can't even kill itself.

I used the Klefki variant with a Hypno who knows Switcheroo, mainly because I didn't want to teach Smeargle all those moves.

Imagine if a ditto could disguise itself as a shiny temporarily so when you go to see it you'll wonder where the shiny went.

Weird, I play Junkrat a lot and I've never noticed much of a problem with Zarya. It's Pharah that really counters him since he can't anti-air very well. Zarya lacks range, just mine jump to a ledge or something and rain down grenades. And if she catches up to you, just mine jump away. She's a pain to kill, but hardly a counter.

I'm not saying you need a Bastion for every team, but he's very useful, particularly at the end of a payload match when the enemy is all clumped together. Hanzo and Widowmaker are great anti-tank classes, Mei and Torbjorn are good against offence heroes.

The main problem that turns people off the defence class is that the heroes are more reactive, not proactive, they lack the flexibility of offence heroes but make up for it with greater effectiveness. A team of Offence/Tank/Support doesn't have good tank killing capability (unless they take Reaper, but he lacks the range needed to deal damage to groups) and if the support or tank is down they fall like dominoes because they lack the area denial needed to stand their ground and hold an objective. Throw a defensive hero in there, and any enemy that gets close to the healer is shot to shreds, or frozen, or blown up. When the offence heroes get too low on health and there's no healer to be found, the Junkrat tosses a bunch of grenades to cover their retreat.

If you do well, you don't need defence, as long as everyone lands their shots and the healer stays out of harm's way, yeah that team is pretty effective. But the moment things go tits up and you need some fucking FIREPOWER or heavy area denial, defence is the way to go.

Bullshit. Bastion, Hanzo, Junkrat, and Widowmaker are capable of dealing insane amounts of damage. You need a hero like that to deal with tight groups, particularly on payload and control maps. Mei and Torbjorn are more situational, but still very useful, particularly on KotH.
#63 - kaephoon (10/02/2016) [-]
I'm not saying they're useless, but almost all of the time an Offense/Tank pick can do just what a Defense hero can.

Bastion is extremely niche and requires good team cooperation and comp to make him useful with an average player.

Hanzo/Widow can be useful in the right hands but require great precision to make them highly optimal. Hanzo is more lenient mainly because of the options to shred/insta kill people with scatter arrow but Widow requires a lot more training to make super useful.

and Junkrat has been fallen out of favor mainly because of the usefulness/natural counter with Zarya, he's literally a free energy whore for any Zarya.

As you said if people are good enough they can make any hero good but optimally you can use Offense/Tank/Support to fill a 6 man team and do just as good or better than a team with a Defense.
