4 Charged With Hate Crimes
And they continuously say "All Lives Matter is racist!"
To play devil's advocate, ALM is just designed to belittle their movement. Nobody in ALM actually has a cause to rally behind or a purpose beyond "I don't like BLM". It's akin to the civil rights movement being met by parades of white people saying "All races matter!"
No shit, they never said all lives don't matter
well, some of the more looney ones have been lately
. They have a cause that they're fighting for - in this case the perceived (and often true to reality) injustices against their race. It's no wonder they're pissed off at the people poking fun at them.
"B- but what about black on black crime?"
That's a separate issue entirely. This is about blacks being legally killed. Black on black crime has a whole other set of dynamics. Blacks don't just kill each other because they're ignorant niggers, when you live in a poor, drug infested environment your way of life changes. You have to do certain shit to survive.
Did you miss the part where more whites are killed by cops than blacks? Did you miss the part where a white cop is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black than an unarmed black by a white cop?
Man, here I am in my poor, drug infested neighborhood, how much time do I have before I do something like this?
Are you also black, in poverty that is almost impossible to climb out of, uneducated or unskilled because it was unaffordable or because the local school was garbage, and possibly taking care of kids you probably never wanted?
Am I black? No. Was I in near inescapable poverty? Yes. I "escaped" into slight minimum wage job poverty. Was my school shit? Yes, possibly why I dropped out. Did I knock up random batches and take no responsibility for my actions? No, is that oppression?
Stop with the strawman, that's not oppression, it's just a different situation. We all live in them, with different cards dealt and different doors available. My questions were largely rhetorical - you aren't in the same situation as many others are, and therefore you saying "well I'm fine" has no merit as to their ongoing conditions.
Though I won't go so far as to say their actions are not because of ignorance, nor are they justified like anon said. Their ignorance, which absolutely is not caused by race but by condition, is exactly what's wrong. The solution isn't to blame either race or any specific community. The poorest of our people come from a diversity of backgrounds and the solution is to come together - colorblind - and provide education and safety nets to help them recover. I'm so tired of watching this blame game back and forth when there are so many people's lives at stake.
And, for what it's worth and despite not knowing the exact conditions, I'm proud of you for rising up to the occasion and managing yourself.
and how should they fix that? oh i dunno, maybe actually put some money into their communities and actually give a crap about the place they live, and perhaps stop with all the drugs? just a thought, also well done for cherry picking only ONE of the many good points he made in his comment
