No unemployment is very easy. Slave labor is no unemployment. Doesn't do great for wealth or prosperity. Socialism doesn't work on the scale of a nation. This has been proven many times.

Now you're thinking of communism. Socialism is a lot more moderate.

Well, yes of course it isn't free , but it still works. Because if you need a really expensive surgery it migth be that you don't have enough money at the time and you will have to take a loan....personal economical problems....and so on. The social tax system ensures that everybody can afford any healthcare and education without going bankrupt. In america, you can get into a circle where you can't pay for education, and you will get a crappy job, wont be able to pay your childrens education, they will get crappy jobs, and so on. Socialism makes society more equal, helps the poor and have higher taxes on the rich. Socialism FTW

In philosophy class, socialism is a fun idea. But every time it is put into practice it fails. Russia, all the failing European states, the US with it's unpaid for social welfare programs...

No system is perfect. But a system wherein everyone works only for themselves is by far the best system.

Well, you have got some points there, but the the EU collapse exists only because the people in states that caused all this were displeased with their government and refused to pay taxes. In Finland for example, people just shut up and pay their taxes. Taking a loan for a surgery can get you serious economical problems. I checked up the cost for a heart transplant. Only 997 700 dollars. Try to pay that off with a factory workers wage.
Look at the nordic countries, they have almost everything socialized - and it works!
