What kinds of RP do you do mainly?

I know I just said I was going to bed on the thread, but I'll stay up a bit longer to talk, if you want. I dun give a fuck.

Ahhhh... well not ponies, and mostly not sex. Even though sex tends to happen anyway... because hormones. I guess drama? I don't like fighting in rps, it just turns into a 'my dick is bigger than your dick' kind of thing. People keep pulling bull shit, cause they don't want to die, and there's no real good way to regulate anything. Especially powers. I fucking hate powers when it comes to rp fighting between rpers.

I prefer character development, adventurous, and even horror based stuff. If it's gonna be on anime tier and beyond ability using, then I don't want to fight rpers, unless the result is already determined, and we just want to make it a good show. Fighting a bunch of NPCs is fun, because, hey no one gets offended when they die so much.

Problem with char development based rps though is that people tend to suck at that. Or maybe I have high standards... either way they never last, because they just go nowhere. Nothing interesting happens after sometime, and the plot just hits a wall, and I inevitably drop out.

I guess, I'm just picky, which is why I just prefer writing. I control all the going ons, and the story moves a lot smoother and the quality is more consistent. Plus I don't let as many people down when I don't feel like writing, ehehe.

... I really have no idea why I'm doing the sex thing with phanact. I guess he just caught me in a good mood, or maybe the idea of rping again in such a casual setting left be a nostalgic... I dunno. It's fun so far, I guess. Wouldn't mind doing more just because, especially if they aren't what I used to do... which was like six people in one rp doing 8000+ char posts that I HAD TO FUCKING READ AND THEN MATCH AT LEAST FIVE-SIX TIMES A DAY UGH.

I know what you mean though about preferring character development in an RP over just simple action, sex, fighting, and what have you. I mean, they're nice but I can't and won't stay in an RP that is meant to be a story RP if that's all that's going to happen. I need interesting characters to work with, not walking talking sperm banks/ovaries/blood fountains.

Yeah, most of my OCs I could write a book about... one I have, actually. Not a good one, but I did. Another I intend to, because he's the fucking greatest thing I've ever created, and the rest... well they're just good OCs I can use for different situations. I pretty much have all my genres and themes covered with different OCs, which is pretty cool.

Except pony... I still need to get him fixed up for it I ever do more pony rps. I guess for now I'll just use the Discorded Doctor until then... even if I'm playing him horribly right now.

Well normally my usual RP's were just sex RPs because I couldn't find anyone I liked on the thread who would match me for story. Last month though Luckyspirit and I did a month-long RP about a zombie apocalypse in Equestria, and now we're working on it's sequel.

Overall I like post-apocalyptic RPs the best, just because I'm fascinated with how people can change and the things that people/ponies will do to survive once the lights and running water have gone out. You just don't get that kind of mind-set with Fantasy Role-plays, because the characters haven't had their entire world taken, you know?

It seems like all people do around here is sex rp.... me included now, eheh. Oh well. It's fun. It's silly, but it's fun. And if more people end up seeing how good I was with blaze, then maybe some will come to me for... a similar experience~

... Ya know, I don't think I've ever done a post-apocalypitc RP before. Which is sad, because I fucking LOVE that kind of setting. It's just full of conflict. Shit is always happening, and people's lives are always interesting, and so backstories pretty much have to be cool, and the story tends to be fun. I don't even have an OC for that... but I could make one, should I ever do one. It'd be nice.

Yeah for something that'd be a bit more serious... I'd prefer to just be able to just focus on that. I'll be thinking of my char in the meantime. Might just use an older OC edited, or make a new one. Not sure. Guess it'll depend on the kind of apocalypse. I'd like a nuclear one, myself. That way we could still have zombies, but have other shit running around, and the mood would be a bit different. I feel like it would be... quieter. Help set up suspense a bit more, and let my horror skills do their work~

Actually the Apocalypse I'm hoping to go for is more along the lines of a Post-War time Apocalypse. Here, I copy and pasted the plot I explained to Lucky earlier:

The world was never really in a good state. Around 2014 the American economy officially collapsed and the government dissolved almost overnight. Before things could become too far lost a previously unknown senator rose like a phoenix from the ashes and took America back from the dark. His first act was to change the US from a democracy into a dictatorship. Under his harsh rule things actually prospered for a time, until he ordered the annexation of Canada and Mexico for their resources. The global supply of oil and other energy was running low at this point. Alliances died, and World War III had begun. This lasted until close to 2049, when the world's governments had exhausted too much to fight a war that was without end. In light of this, America split into two parties: One who wanted to take the world by nuclear force, and another who wanted peace. The resulting conflict lasted less than a year.

On July 4th, 2051, The Pulse came. It was covered over with three nuclear explosions wiping out Chicago, Seattle, and San Diego. A group in the government used a former military satellite to fire an EMP that wiped out the power grid in the US. Chaos and Anarchy followed. The country officially died that day, and for the next thirty or so years there was nothing but post-apocalyptic darkness.

As much as I like post-nuclear and post-zombie, this is the apocalypse I have always wanted to do. There will be some form of mutants and other dangers because of the mutagens, machines left behind, but otherwise the main enemies are people.

Well, then I guess that's the one we're gonna do.
