no. it isn't.

if you ask a 13 year old if she wants to fuck, and she says yes, it's still rape, because she isn't of sound mind to make that decision. neither is a drunk person.

jesus christ, did you people not learn about what rape is in high school/middle school/elementary school?
#67 - anon (11/14/2014) [-]
legally it is... if one person is drunk and the other sober and they have sex, by law it's rape.

Well they're at a bar. i think it's safe that the other guy was drunk aswell.

This, plus the "only being penetrated count as rape" equals "men are fucked up if they have sex with a drunk woman"

though i do agree that a drunk one night stand isn't rape, i feel that you should at least know how most people have to think about it in 'merica

except the laws in most places are favored towards women being the victims, so the rape laws say that if she was drunk/not of sound mind, she cat agree to sex, so no concent, so rape. the excuse of "well i was drunk too" doesn't let the man off the hook.
#51 - xxitzchubbsxx (11/14/2014) [-]
That makes no sense the man would also be drinking therefore too drunk to give consent as well.

not being in control of yourself does not give you the right to do whatever you want.

is kind of how their argument on that side goes. you could argue that she raped you, but that is a bit harder to get people to believe, simply put, if you are gonna fuck a bitch who be drinking, either go to her place or a cheap hotel, so you can skip out on them and not leave any personal info.

See this is where I don't get it, the guy being drunk isn't an excuse for not being able to make sound decisions, but the women being drunk means she can't make sound decisions? It's your fault if you drive drunk, it's your fault if you sleep with someone while you're drunk and regret it. I agree it's a shitty and gross thing to do, to take advantage of someone, but I don't think it should be a criminal offense. It enforces the belief that you don't have to deal with consequences for your actions even when drunk and I just don't agree with that, you can't make sound decisions while you're drunk, I get that, so don't get drunk, know your limits, you only get drunk if you allow yourself to so whatever comes of it is your own negligence.

it makes more sense than the yes means yes laws in cali, you have to have ongoing consent throughout the "action" or it can be considered rape, unlike our current no means no(where if you can't "legally" give consent, it is considered rape)

[i wish there was an edit button]

no means no, also means that simply as soon as one party wishes it to stop and gives confirmation of that, it is to immediately stop

i work at a hotel, i have known a few Mr.Smiths, of course that isn't the name on the driver's licence, but when a note says "don't give out my real name to anyone, including the person in the same room as me" we don't, unless a cop gets involved, and then they can figure it out, i don't remember every guest who stays with us.

But if the glass was only half as big as it is now, but the content were still the same, wouldn't the contents spill if you tried lifting the glass?

If you have a glass that is filled exactly 50%, and you then make the glass 50% smaller but the amount of liquid is still the same, you would a have the problem of the spillage, so I would say you can't make the glass exactly half as big, but instead only a few percent above 50% as to avoid spillage of your drink
