Don't get an sli motherboard, especially when it's not like you'll need to graphics cards when you have a 970. Also, consider the msi or asus 970, as sadly evga's version isn't on par this time round for performance/cooling
The latest asus or msi range for motherboards are good, I currently use an MSI H97 Gaming 3. It comes with a driver program, which is incredibly handy
Consider an ssd for your windows drive and programs, use the 2tb for games and general storage
You might not have considered an aftermarket cpu cooler for cooling and lifespan, a solid buy would be a Noctua NH-U14S
Get a 750w power supply to cover your volt usage solidly, they don't cost much more than a 600w supply. Make sure it's fully modular, for wiring and possible future use. If you want, i'd advise the Corsair RM750 power supply
Finally, make sure your case is adequate for your equipment to be held. For cooling and future proofing. Get a mid sized tower. It comes down to personal preference but two great case manufactures are Corsair and NZXT

Before anyone comes on here bandwagoning for their favorite, I'll try to be unbiased. Both are perfectly good, and the difference really isn't massive. Generally speaking, Intel performs a little better, and is generally optimized for more uses than AMD, while AMD is designed to be more bang for your buck, its cheaper, but really not all that worse in any way, it actually outperforms Intel when multitasking even though Intel wins when it comes to one or two processes at a time. What CPU you get should match your motherboard, but most recent motherboards will support back to sandy bridge (an earlier version of Intels processors) If you want the best ones out there, here:

For Intel:

The fastest, best, and by far most expensive CPU on the market (shits expensive)
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117404&cm_re=intel_i7-_-19-117-404-_-Product
Its lower price counter-point
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117369&cm_re=intel_i7-_-19-117-369-_-Product
And even lower price point one, great for gaming and overclocking
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117372&cm_re=intel_i5k-_-19-117-372-_-Product

For AMD:

Be warned, this is a good CPU, but tricky to get working right, and its power hungry
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113347&cm_re=AMD_cpu-_-19-113-347-_-Product

Basically the AMD version of an i7
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113374&cm_re=AMD_cpu-_-19-113-374-_-Product

And the AMD version if an i5k, this ones more for overclocking and price
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113359&cm_re=AMD_cpu-_-19-113-359-_-Product

Again, make sure your mmotherboard matches you CPU, otherwise the computer wont work. A quick google search of the chipset the motherboard is designed (ex: Z97, AM3+, FM1, just look for things like those in the name) for should answer any questions.

Hope I helped!

Intel Core I5 4670k and Core i5 4690k for gaming, core I7 58xx series for rendering and crunching.

AMD, not so much, but the FX 9000 series

Hey, quick question, how did you manage to pour the silver in the cracks without it burning the Bass? Cause it had to be liquid silver to the best of my guesses), and I imagine it being very hot.

Unless, ya know, pic related

Also, posted here cause I was blocked by the OP. I dont know how that happened! Haha

Actually, looking at the picture again, it looks like it did burn the bass ... a lot.

Still looks damn good though

No idea. I was not the person that did it. I guess you could send them a message on facebook or something.

They are Marleaux bass guitars on there and they are usually quite good at getting back to people.
