Uni isn't the place for experimental music, on the course at least.
if you want that you'll have to look around for underground clubs which might be available outside of your course. with out trying to sound "I'm so smart" uni is the one place you'll find plebs that listen to really shitty music and think dupstep is experimental.
keep in mind that the film will romanticize the fuck out of it all, the real Frank was.... not as cool as I first thought he would be.
"The real Frank"
it doesn't ruin the film if you know anything about him.
it strays quite far away from the real Frank.
I don't care about spoilers anyway. But yeah, since the movie doesn't seem to be sold with him in actual top billing I reckon it's mored "inspired by" than "based on".
yeah pretty much.
still a good film though.
I've been wanting to watch it for a while, but I haven't had the time.
Anyway, I enjoy experimental music, sometimes. But I don't particularly care to create it or value it a lot. See, here's the deal: I value songs that I enjoy. That's... well, that's about as broad and useless of a value system as you can have, but that's as far as I can break it down. Sometimes that means a trite, generic but sweet beatles ditty, sometimes it's lovely Ravel concertos, sometimes is swagger filled cutting riffs like Megadeth, sometimes it's brutal genre bending like Ne Obliviscaris, sometimes it's weird virtuoso exploration like Buckethead and somtimes it's just... weird like The Residents. And I just care about how much I enjoy it. I don't care if it's new, if it's been done before, if it's in this or that style, all I care is how much I enjoy it. So I don't really care to make experimental music, I just want to make music I enjoy, and whatever sound happens to land in my head is the one I make.
These are the most "out there" pieces I've made, and they're still fairly mundane. But they're what I wanted to make, and they make me happy. That's enough for me.
God i love frank

It is a ton of money, but for me it isn't about living in luxury. Think about the things you could create with that kind of money. I would buy land, construct my own towns, own businesses, give something back to the community. I like to think that a lot of people given the chance would do wonderful things with money. I always fantasize about winning or getting a lot of cash, not really for me (I mean sure, I would get a new car and pay off my debt, buy a house, etc.) but to make something that others can benefit from in the long run. A billion dollars is a pass to make something incredible with your life not just comfortable.
