You know, basic knowledge?

You learn shit like this on school fyi.
#20 - dubstroyer (04/25/2015) [-]
I think it would take some experience to know when something like that would happen despite knowing when/how it occurs and recognize it.
User avatar #34 - alleksi (04/26/2015) [-]
Jonball's right. It's pretty fucking intuitive to guess when the shockwave is coming. You can physically see how fast it's going thanks to it directly affecting its surroundings.

Shockwave is moving this fast. We are standing this far away from it. It will take about this long for it to hit us. It's simple intuition that anyone can do when they see large explosions like that.
#29 - jonball (04/26/2015) [-]
i could nearly pinpoint when the shock wave was about to hit just by watching the video.
Honestly, it's not hard at all.

Being able to anticipate a shock wave traveling over a distance when you can visibly see it traveling is hard? I mean you're not gonna be guaranteed that you'll pinpoint the exact moment without being able to see it travel over land but fuck me, mate, it's not hard when you can literally see the shock wave travelling to anticipate it coming.

I think even without the assistance of being able to see it anyone with basic knowledge would be able to brace themselves with the understanding that the force/sound will hit them within a few seconds at a distance, it really isn't that fucking hard when you're not a bumbling fucking idiot.

I'm not calling you can idiot mate but saying that's dumb shit is completely fucking stupid in itself, even if we were to talk about instinctual reaction you'd be apprehensive after seeing an explosion and most likely tense up and brace yourself out of reaction alone, you may not grab onto something but you'd certainly tense up and acknowledge the fucking explosion you've just witnessed.
#45 - fennis (04/26/2015) [-]
Mate. We are talking about physical impact 'hard'? M'fuck these mis communications/interpretations. I won't even think about the impact cos, and then if the impact on the body is as 'hard' as the blast itself, as such... Ur pepsi like the mountain, proper sodapepsi. Anyfuckin way. it didn't made any sense, and I did not make any--> Thought that the 'whole' blast in its bare element was seen as 'not hard'

>gif unrelated
User avatar #49 - ocdrawer (04/26/2015) [-]
Probably a misunderstanding, bud. I thought you meant it'd be hard to understand that force was coming your way after an explosion rather than to be able to understand the force itself has an impact, although as you say it's not a proper impact on par with the explosion itself otherwise you'd be a pancake.
#50 - fennis (04/26/2015) [-]

Yeah. And he dedicated his life and for years and years and years to get that look

It's not like he took creatine, hit the gym three days a week, and looked like Arnold a month later

Seriously. No one in the history of lifting has ever ever ever gotten "too big" in their own mindset and what their preference is

There's this thing called, you know, stopping or easing up. If you do somehow miraculously get to a fitness and size level you're uncomfortable with. And it doesn't happen in a brief time. Talking months to notice changes and years to make significant differences

If you're happy with your size, and how you look, good for you. But the guys who lift weights will always be stronger. I care far more about function than aesthetics (and in my and my girlfriend's view, having some muscle looks better) as I like knowing I can defend myself.

Exactly. But that one aspect of the red meat, the creatine (along with the B vitamins), is beneficial. So why not get that?

It's really no different than taking a multivitamin. The amount and variety of food you'd need to eat to hit the recommended micronutrients is insane, and you'd end up going over on some with all the veggies. So why not just supplement?
