JoJo's Bizarre Adventures seems pretty gay.

The mentality is very manly and doesn't care about sexuality(well, we do see Joseph Joestar peeping on a woman I suppose) but rather just sticks to really cool fighting scenes and well, manliness I guess?

oh man I love Kid A. My favorite with OK Computer being a close second. Lately I've been listening to a lot of "In Colors"; at first I was kinda put off by it, but I've warmed up to it. I usually like to put them in in the background while I code.

I have a question.
Exactly how does Diavolo's Stand work.
I know. It just works. But still
At one point Diavolo claims he erases time, when he goes to kill Polnareff, it appears as if he stopped time.
Which brings an issue in All Star Battle, Diavolo's dash "I erased 0.5 seconds" should also make the enemy move in the direction they were moving, to make it canon.

Does this do a good job of explaining King Crimson?
If so, then you might wanna Sticky it. You know, Since people seem to ask you about it all the time.
#33 to #28 - anon (12/08/2015) [-]
But when Diavolo kills Polnareff's body, the manga shows it as "stopped time"
even Diavolo does the whole "Now time will resume" thing Dio does.
Coming back to see replies.
#35 to #33 - duwang (12/12/2015) [-]
You make a good point, but it's not "Stopped Time". If i am correct, the JoJo wiki refers to it as "Missing Time". Anything saying Stopped Time could possibly just be an inaccurate translation.

"King Crimson's signature ability is, to put it simply, literally skip time. To go into detail, it creates a space that deletes anywhere from .5 to 10 seconds worth of time with only Diavolo being able to maneuver in this realm of missing time, leaving only the results of actions that would've normally occurred."

Now, if the Wiki is correct then that would mean that when Diavolo says "Now time will resume" He's referring to the realm of Missing time, not stopped time.
To put it simply, Diavolo is moving within a realm of the time that is going to be Erased, while DIO simply moves within a realm of Paused time in which he interacts with His enemies.

"The final effect seems for others as though they have certainly completed the activity, because the results of the actions have already occurred: you've reached the top step, you've finished your meal, you're several more pages into the book than you were before. And, to people outside of the pocket of time, Diavolo appears to be teleporting."

"It is worth noting that King Crimson cannot directly interact with people during the time skip, because, as opposed to The World, what he sees are just projections of people, and not people themselves. He can however, setup his attacks by throwing items towards the place the enemy will end up in."

At least that is My current understanding of how King Crimson works, I hope to see your theory as well. I love Diavolo because his stand is such an enigma that it only serves to make him even More menacing, having to figure out how such a complex stand Works is all part of the fun for me. It actually makes you think about it, as opposed to a stand like The World.

Explain how King Crimson works
User avatar #14 to #13 - jojoexplain ONLINE (04/03/2015) [-]
Pretty much the easiest way to explain it is too compare it to deleting files on your computer. You can watch them get deleted but you can't really do anything to them until they are finished deleting. King Crimson takes this small pocket of around 10 seconds, and deletes it. King Crimson and Diavolo can both move around as they please in this time, but anything that happens in it is deleted. It isn't right to say that people lose their memories of the events in the deleted time, because they couldn't have memories of something that doesn't exist. One thing to mention is that the areas are actually based around the endpoint in time. So the positions of objects and people are where they would be when Diavolos time deletion ends. To put this in laymen terms, if you throw a box and it breaks during that time, the box will be where you threw it, but it won't be broken (i think, even i don't know perfectly) This is why when the time deletion happens, it's like Giorno and the crew were just cut off when they were running. I can give a few examples. When Bruno is fighting Diavolo, the way he makes him hit himself (I believe) is that he starts the point in time, lets Bruno run around in the deleted time, and then makes him punch where he was at the start of the deleted time, just as time is being deleted. Bruno doesn't remember moving around, just punching himself, and since the time is based off of the endpoint, when all time comes together it's just Bruno punching himself. Another good example is when Giorno and the gay mafia are running to the coliseum while Polnareff is already fighting Diavolo, they jump from the entrance to up the stairs. They have no memory of moving, but because they made that sudden jump, they know King Crimson is active. So, in a way, you can tell when his power has been activated, because you just jump around, but you don't know what happened in the deleted time. I like to view King Crimson as a more defensive stand, as the effects from King Crimson also affect himself. That's why he never bothers attacking Bruno, because his attacks will be erased as well. Diavolo used his stand more strategically, using it to disorient his foes, and even using it to make them attack themselves. I feel the Jojo games represent this power falsely. In Golden Whirlwind, when Diavolo attacks, you are either frozen, or moving very slowly, while Diavolo is moving around at full speed. This really isn't the case, you do not stop moving in the pocket of deleted time. This is almost the same in JJBA: All Star Battle, as you freeze completely while Diavolo retains full actions. It is notable, however, that any time he attacks, you can move again, so at least it's not treated like a time stop. The only reason why this is such an incredible ability, is that Diavolo gets to pick and choose which pieces of time are crushed, and what stays and goes in this crushed time. I also like to imagine he can use this power to make people trip over things. Anyway, there's your essay about my favorite stand, and how the **** it works, sorta.
User avatar #27 to #14 - phoenixtwo (07/22/2015) [-]
I'm still confused.
So things move, as they would normally, but don't take any influence from things in that 10 second period?

explain who is best jojo and why
User avatar #2 to #1 - jojoexplain ONLINE (03/31/2015) [-]
Johnny Joestar is best Jojo. He has the best and most fleshed out relationship with his side character, Gyro Zeppeli, his backstory is easily the most tragic, giving him a lot of motivation in his mission to learn the spin and collect the holy corpse, his stand, while not as op as say, Star Platinum, is amazing because it's not just a constant source of power that he learns more about, like Crazy Diamond, but rather his stand evolves and powers up with him as Johnny learns more and more about the spin and the holy corpse. This is the only instance of any Jojo in which you will always see constant progress, which in my opinion gives Johnny alot more meaning then the rest of them. As well as this you always get a sense of fulfillment from reading more about Johnny, from learning about the spin, to getting the ability to fire his nails, from learning about the infinite spin, and eventually getting the power of the holes the spin creates. As well as this, Johnny will eventually go on to get to Tusk ACT 4, easily the strongest of any Jojo stand, and one of the most powerful stands in the Jojo universe, where, as President Valentine states, even one hit will defeat you, as it sends every molecule in your body into an infinite spin. While this ability was almost Johnny's downfall, thanks to the power of alternate Diego's "The World", Johnny actually ends up regaining his ability to walk by the end of Steel Ball Run. Also, while the other deaths in the series are sad, ranging from Caesar and Will, Kakyoin and Avdol, to Narancia and Abbachino, i feel that Gyro's death and the continuing tradition of the Zeppeli's heroic deaths motivates and affects Johnny even more than it did to Joseph. A close second place contender is Josuke, as i feel his learning of his stand, motivation, personality, and relation ship with Okuyasu make him great to read about as well. If i had to pick a least favorite it would either be Jolyne or Jotaro, not because i dislike them, but i feel they lack alot of personality, or Jotaro does at least

Damn man that's really sweet!
I really like part 5 because i felt Diavolo was the best villain, but i can understand why you wouldn't like Giorno, he's pretty over the top
#7 to #6 - chitogekirisaki (03/31/2015) [-]
The Diavolo fight was so sucky because GER's OP-ness. I'm gonna go with Pucci or Valentine, since they're the only ones who won. Valentine kinda won, the corpse was secured for America.
#8 to #7 - jojoexplain ONLINE (03/31/2015) [-]
Valentine was a really great villain, fantastic morals and all. I really liked Diavolo because of his super unique dual personality thing, the fact his stand power was super unique and hard to understand, and the overall mystery around him. I think his design is awesome, i think Vinegar Doppio and his power of Epitath are awesome, i think his character in ASB is awesome, and i can't even really say why i liked him so much. I also loved Kira, just cause he cray.
#9 to #8 - chitogekirisaki (03/31/2015) [-]
I really need to re read part 5, maybe I'd like it better.
Everytime I see Diavolo I can't help but think he's related to Anasui in someway, since they're visually similar.
Kira was really good, Josuke really did jack **** to kill him though.
What do you think of part 8 so far?
User avatar #10 to #9 - jojoexplain ONLINE (03/31/2015) [-]
I think it's a really great start so far. The plot is a little lacking but i think Josuke's power is really freaking neat. The main thing i'm looking forward too is that, if there's stuff like the alternate reality Kira, then there's got to be alternate reality Jojo's too, right?
User avatar #11 to #10 - chitogekirisaki (03/31/2015) [-]
Assuming the SBR universe is the same one Emporio ended up in, yeah, not to mention Johnny. I just hope they give Josuke a different name, like the second person he is is some JoJo with a different name. I'm kind of sad they killed off Deigo, I liked him more than Dio, although there was be no reason for him to be alive.
It's starting a bit more slow for my tastes, I like the same mystery feeling Part 4 had, but it still doesn't have the "monster-of-the-week" funness 4 had, although it's picked up lately.
User avatar #12 to #11 - jojoexplain ONLINE (03/31/2015) [-]
I can almost guarantee an alternate reality Dio for sure, and i'll have to agree with you on the Jo2uke name change, and i loved Scary Monsters Diego. Even so, if we assume even if it takes place in the SBR timeline, since Yoshikage Kira exists, then the other Jojo's who existed in that timeline, unless killed by something, should also exist, like Jotaro, Josuke, and old Joseph.

First of all, Gyro was the real MC of part 7.
Also, it is said that by Araki himself that Star Platinum is the strongest stand, and then there's also G.E.R. which is ******** which I won't get into detail with cuz' it's just dumb.
And Johnny also technically loses to Diego.
One great thing about Johnny is that he's never painted as a hero, he has the eyes of a killer, and that's great, no white and black is a great thing that people are picking up already, like in comics and deus ex machina isn't around as much.
Jotaro has no clue about what's ******* happening at all. He feels flat as a character in every way.
Also, everyone can access the golden spiral which means everyone could get stronger even without evolving, he basically is using something more, like G.E.R. is using the Stand Creating arrow to become so strong.

While yes Johnny did get beaten by Alternate universe Diego, he did beat the main villain of the series, who went on to kill Gyro. In the end his ultimate goal really was accomplished though, he learned to walk again by the end of the series. The reason why i always think Tusk is stronger than Star Platinum is that it doesn't have to be a nail bullet that hits you, if Tusk so much as touches you then you are dead. I also feel like the only reason he really loses is because he never understood Diego's time stop power, he just kinda started making assumptions. I didn't count G.E.R because there really isn't alot about his powers, as it was only used once, and it's pretty safe to assume the arrow was destroyed after Giorno used it. I feel like Jotaro really had his moments, like the times with both D'Arbys, but honestly Dio's power was much more than Jotaro's, Jotaro won because Dio thought he would have no idea how to stop time, and used all his power on one last time stop to kill him. I also think that in Parts 4 and 6, Jotaro's power was really underwhelmed, as it felt like to me he should have alot more in the terms of his time stopping. Again please remember, even though i am a fact based Jojo account, the discussion of best Jojo is merely opinion, so what you see is what i believe. It should also be noted that, while anyone can learn the spin, Johnny learned it in addition to his stand power, and then him and Gyro both developed a new type of spin derived from using their horse, which lead to a truly infinite spin, a technique that not everyone can do.
Diavolo's my favorite villain, and King Crimson is my favorite stand
What can i say, it just works
