I then converted all the songs in New Vegas to Tupac and NWA songs like who shot ya. One of my more itneresting playthroughs.

anon (10/27/2014) [-] I know the feeling. It basically boils down to "maybe if we vote for the party that fucked us over two elections ago they won't fuck us over as the people fucking us over now are". However, in US politics especially, there's so much special interest and so much collusion in middle administration that to get anything done you need to make grim concessions. For instance, the Obamacare mess. It's basically state-owned private healthcare. That is NOT how you fucking do it. You have mostly-functioning examples of how to provide state-subsidized basic healthcare over the fucking pond... but that'd raise taxes, which no one wants even though the money you're being bled of by the additional taxes goes towards not bankrupting you and yours if something really bad happens that's beyond your ability to pay for. Furthermore, it pisses off healthcare providers whose most basic packages would be rendered irrelevant, so you get backlash from their lobbyists. So you end up with a halfassed solution.

oinos (10/27/2014) [-] Who is your daddy and what does he do? Also where is your logic? Presidency = 4 year term. 8 year max. No one may serve more than 2 terms. Senate and Congress have issues with people sitting in them indefinitely more often than not. They are far worse than the presidency. Especially when they back big business and attempt continuous counter action to any forward movement towards individual achievements over corporate ones. Do try to remember those are the asshats that shut down twice or more in the last time, and once or twice in the 80's and 90's because they were pissed that they couldn't gain a thumb on their voting a pay raise for themselves as they always do. Kinda hard to like the people who can vote on their own pay checks even when the working class is the ones paying for them. It's like some form of corporate elitist welfare, even for as much as they detest welfare for the poor. And when they decide to picket and just not come in to work or they get shut down for not voting in a budget, they still get paid and can't get pushed out of their spot without votes of their own. So shutting the government down when they can't make up their mind or refuse to do something hurts everyone but them. They're far worse than any presidential fuckup. my dad is the hardest working man i know, my mother divorced him, and just after that while he was working at coca-cola as a truck driver (he was doing damn well too, had 50k of retirement built up, and it was still snowballing) the company cut wages and benefits, he couldn't afford to stay there and went to find more work to support me and my brother, and also, since we live in illinois, my mom got half of that money and fucked him real good, he lived in apartments, job to job for about 12 to 13 years, and finally got a house, and boom, the bank fucking forecloses his mortgage, and he called bullshit on them, went to court and won, still has his house, and his current job is starting to fuck him too, the man is 55 years old and will probably work till he dies... and i hate to think about that, that is my daddy, and he is from aurora, Illinois and here is my logic, the politicians that have been there forever... that's the fucking problem, the ass-hats that have been there forever, they need to keep constantly stirring the pot and bring common sense and good morals back to government, and i know how the presidency works, i passed the government exam in high school like everyone else, but seriously, all the positions need limits, the system is broken and abused, it doesn't work too good anymore and it needs to be fixed, and i think short terms for senators and congressman is a good place to start, so they can't be there for more than 6 or 8 years of their lives, so the chance of mass fuckups is reduced as new fresh ideas are brought to the table every 2 or 4 years, rather than eating the governments shit on a shingle day in and day out #15 -

anon (10/27/2014) [-] Well, yes. It's not only about what's being said, it's about who's saying it. She is fundamentally correct. The largest employers in most countries aren't corporations, who are now generally multinational and just keep branches of up to a thousand people in each country, it's SMBs who provide a large employment base, be it blue, pink or white collar labor. On the other hand, wage increases will push prices up, causing inflation, and do have a risk of making some SMBs close. Oooon the other hand, there's currently no incentive for business owners, corporations especially to not pay as little as they can for unskilled labor, even though the current minimum wage in the US hasn't been adjusted for inflation in what, two decades. i agree, but the fact is there are so many unseen variables as to why it won't work in the US, and why she looks dumb for saying it, too many too list, its like a sick joke only Americans get Here we just raised the min wage to 11 dollars and prices have stayed relatively the same. The problem as i see it with the states is that instead of rising the min wage with inflation you want to catch up in one shot, this could cause issues because in order to get to even our lowest min wage you would need to increase your min wage by at least 3 dollars in one shot. #10 -

oinos (10/27/2014) [-] 8, because america is lazy and has refused to use the normal terms of presidency since bush made most of us give zero fucks about voting if some bullshit like him managed to get in even against our wishes. Good luck in Canada, save me a spot, I'll be there once I get off the goddamn backwards assed islands. i tell ya, 2 year limits on ALL government positions, state and federal, in the senate and congress, you can have two terms, but NOT consecutively, on 2 years, take a minimum 2 year hiatus, and if your ass gets reelected, then 2 more years and then you're done for good, no more government for you, same should go for the president, keep the four year terms, but they should not be allowed to be consecutive, they have to have at least one off term in the middle with someone else in place of you before you come back, so in theory, if the water (the government) keeps moving, then the shit (stupid politicians) has no time to collect and everything works good #7 -
