Besides, on the reverse side of the vinyl it says ''essential to the content of the film, Let it Be was that they performed live for many of the tracks."

Nah they weren't recorded live, but Get Back had parts from the live performance added to the end. It was originally intended to be recorded live, during the filming of the documentary, but that whole plan fell through so Phil Spector took the demos and produced them into what is on the record.

I can't say it's my all time favorite, Rubber Soul holds that position.
It still is a good album, however.

Compared to music in general, yes it is a good album.
Compared to the other Beatles albums, it's really below average.
The only songs on it that I think are really good are Let it Be and Get Back. Maybe Two of Us.
