ah sorry, you were so unknown and uninteresting that i didnt consider reading anything you said beforehand.
on a semi-related note (and this goes out to the rest of you all as well) why do unknown, unimportant people on fj seem to continue to make these "farewell posts"? you can say goodbye to all your friends by updating your status or leaving a comment on your wall or just write to them. the only real reason anyone would have to make a post about it is if mods or well known/important people left.
at this point, those kinds of post just seem like an attention seekers last resort to garner some attention.

We are a family here, we all appreciate each other here you bitter newfag and the only reason to note if a "well known" person left would be because of the way it improves the site because the most well known are those who clog uploads with the same shit and clearly don't care about helping the site, just feeding their egos.

Okay so ive been here 4 years but i guess newfagness is relative so whatever.
we arent a family. family have intricate ties with each other, this is a community.
"well known" people are the only ones who need a "goodbye" since they are known by the community and if they suddenly disappear then people will ask "whatever happend to [insert username]?" and to avoid that, its easiest to make a statement.
unknown people dont need that, in fact the only reason they do it is for attention.
you can definitly argue the merit of a "well known" person making a goodbye, but there is none to be made for an unknown and its dumb.
also, way to be a mainstream hipster i.e. saying that well known people just upload shit.

Newfag is relative, we say goodbye if we go away because like it or not we are a family here which you apparently don't realize even after 4 years. We appreciate that somebody cares enough to say goodbye and there are much worse examples of things done just for attention. No I'm not a hipster, fuck hipsters, but you don't need to be overly observant to see the same handful of users who put up the same reposts up every day because they care more about thumbs or themselves rather than improving FJ as a whole.

i dont think my understanding of family is the same as yours, you see when i think of family i think of a group of people who are there to hear your worries, give you advice, be part of your life and all around are just there whether you want them to or not.
fj is not that.
fj is comprosied of anonymous users (who can say who they are if they want) that interact with you for moments at the time in certain threads and such. you can build relations and become friends and such, but there is no one on this site who knows every other user, there is no one on this site that is there for every other user and we only really care about what we find interesting to ourselves.
that is not a family. thats a village, a town, a city or a community. but its not a family.
we dont care when people say goodbye, unless that person has some kind of relationship with us.
most comments on this post are "who are you?" and "sure, see ya in a week" or some such, this really just solidify that we are not a family, we are like a village of people, all with our own little families like the drawfags, the theme-accounts, the mods and admin, the trolls, the discussion folk, the lurkers etc.

seriously, people gotta stop this "we are family" nonsense.
