Contrary to what some people are saying...vaping is not quitting. Neither is chewing nicotine gum, lozenges, inhalers...etc. Nicotine is the culprit, smoking is the method of delivery. If you want to quit, you've got to go cold turkey, or you are trading one addiction for the next. If you were an alcoholic, and were trying to quit drinking, you wouldn't vaporize the alcohol because it's a safer form of delivery...because it's an alcohol addiction. You've got to realize this as well: cigarettes DO NOT eliminate stress. Your body is going through nicotine withdrawal. When you smoke, it gets what it wants and now you are "calm". You've got to get past the first couple of weeks. It helps to visualize why you want to quit, and write down each day the good that it's doing. For me it was simple. I want to be there when my kids get married and help them pay for their college. So mine was financial. I would write down every day that I had saved 6 dollars and added an extra day to my life (I don't care if it isn't true, it made it worth it). After a week...an extra week of life and 40 dollars saved. It didn't take long to psychologically break the addiction using those tricks. Good luck!
