I wont deny any crime that is officially as a german war crime , and i feel ashamed for what so many did during the war in the name of our homeland and our people ( as Germans )

BUT ! For my own family fought in that war and not a single one of them committed a crime . And we even had soem fighting as SS members

I am proud of the patriotism and the loyalty that was shown
And the fierce fight german soldiers gave the overwhelming allied forces

This war had many fathers and a lot of dirty secrets
we lost ... we had to take the blame
but for it is long enough that we asked forgiveness and took all the blame
we should finally start talking straight - remember who we are
ask why it came to this and what we should learn from it

and we wont learn a single thing if we keep up this bollocks of stigmatizing a person like Adolf Hitler or the Germans as a Nation / the people

Exactly my thoughts!
My two Grandfathers were in the war too and i am proud because there were very brave fighting against overwhelming russians and surviving through hard winters and many years as prisoners in the russian "lagers" (don't know the english word-bin auch deutsch)
The only crime (propably the worst one in the war) was that the Germans tried systmeticallys to kill a complete race. This was a crime and we shouldn't forgett about that-but we should stop thinking that our generation can't be patriotists and the Germans are completely responsibly for the war.
