Thing is, everyone thinks it's great, or at least the middle and upper classes do.
The working class is bogged down in either not knowing anything and voting for what sounds the best (Labour and their "Everyone gets free shit" message) or they don't bother because they know that they won't be able to do anything either because:
- The Voting System is terrible.
- They will be called uneducated and have their position shouted down without proper consideration/representation, so they don't bother to save themselves the grief.
I mean, I can get a gun if I wanted, I could also claim it's for self defence.
But the amount of licensing and bureaucracy, and the increased cost of guns due to regulations/lack of supply just makes it not worth it at all unless you are a farmer and really need it or go shooting regularly as a hobby/sport.
Speaking of Sport, our Olympic Pistol Shooters have to train in other countries because there is a blanket ban on handguns
We had people, like Mosley and Powell who had their heads on straight and remarkably predicted the hell we're living in (even if it exceeds their predictions)
We had NIck Griffin in the BNP.
We have Farage, and more recently Rees Mogg.
Farage is great, but not perfect, and Rees Mogg is legitimately very intelligent and is either playing his cards super close to his chest, or isn't so right leaning that he can truly enact the change.
Nick Griffin has lost all credibility after having his good name repeatedly Slandered like Enoch powell.
Nigel Farage is great and got stuff done, but it took a while and he is still hated by people who should know better.
Rees Mogg is good in that he has his head on straight, but like I say, he is either that one reasonable person in the same system, or he's using the system and is acting contrary to what britain needs to play it safe.
We have little hope, but Farage and Mogg are hope, if Griffin can be proven so right it is undeniable and gain his public credibility back we should have a decent starting point.
But like you've seen with May and Corbyn, they don't want things to change, and when they do, not how the public intends, they have their own plan that is not ours and it's screwing us over big time.
It's super depressing.
I know things are shit right now and are looking to get much worse, but I think Farage and Rees Mogg know exactly what they're doing, Farage has talked about Enoch Powell and how he was ahead of his time, and he said you have to think far ahead in politics, but you can't be so far ahead that the public don't understand you, -that was the problem Enoch and Griffin had, they knew too much and the public didn't want to know... Farage has learned from them and I think Rees Mogg may be playing it even more carefully..
We won't get the government we want for at least a decade, and maybe that's best; our economy is politically irreparable at this point and I'm starting to hope Labour wins the next election so the economy can collapse on them and all the immigrants and socialist shitheads get what they wanted, afterwards; when people see the results of their policies and everyone is poor, angry and miserable, people will start to wonder how they got into that position and suddenly Enoch and Griffin won't seem so bad. When the benefits run out; our 3rd world immigrants will riot and people will see them for the simple-minded savages that they are, and if everyone is poor and there is no-one to fund their benefits they'll realise they had it better in their home countries and they'll leave, and we will know better than to allow them back in...
We'll have a real chance to change things for the better when things have gotten worse..
Farage predicted Trumps victory and even took the risk of supporting him long before most people thought he had a chance, he's on another level from us, and Rees Mogg knew better than to be critical of him and made an effort to remind people that we need to respect him, so who knows how smart Mogg is..
Things will get much worse, but if we prepare for a bleak future then we've got the best chance to rebuild this country and maybe we'll do it right next time...
I agree with you. Mostly
But voting intentionally for a collapse is risky. Just like the previous election was risky, I wouldn't have Voted UKIP if i wasn't living in an almost guaranteed Conservative constituency.
It's hard, because either way you go they're going to fight like mad to keep head above water, and the British public is extremely fickle and short term.
Voting in Labour would result in a shitshow. Then people will get angry and vote in a conservative government.
The conservatives wouldn't be able to really do anything without raising taxes, which to the public is completely unacceptable even though they want more services.
So Conservatives end up cutting stuff and giving it to these new services that Labour set up, and because everything is cut things start going to shit and then people vote in labour.
IMHO the only way to truly get it, is to get the majority to vote one way or the other consecutively for a number of years.
Then it's a case of how long you want the collapse to be, and how soon you want it:
- Labour: Collapse comes quickly, but wasn't full enough, so any recovery will build up to another collapse and a cycle will start of collapse and build and collapse with the periods in between getting shorter and shorter until it's almost a permanent collapse.
- Conservatives: Collapse will be slow, and when it does it will be completely devestating. They will end up cutting all unnecessary stuff and continue spending in other areas instead of saving and working on the debt. So when the money runs out there will be a massive collapse, and without all the useless services that were only useful in hard times the collapse will be hard. But afterwards the rebuild will be slow and will get better and better until another big collapse.
We should've collapsed ages ago, we are well overdue for a massive collapse but (((somehow))) people just pull money out of nowhere and are artificially keeping things afloat so (((They))) don't lose everything in the catastrophic collapse that they caused.
I'd rather take the massive collapse that sends the immigrants running to Germany, and turns everyone off coming here, than the continued inflow and rabid scrap to keep everyone on benefits and jobseekers that goes on indefinitely without any major growth at all.
You can vote how you want of course, but I'd rather collapse under a conservative government than a leftist government (Not that anybody "Conservative" in the UK parliament is by any means anywhere right of the left wing).
I've never thought I'd actually vote Labour, but the idea had occurred to me recently.. Wouldn't make much difference though as I'm in an area full of parasites so I'm stuck with a feminist, "refugee"-loving cunt for an MP..
I was thinking a bit more pragmatically; I'm hoping people get truly sick of the Tories as they drag out their term to a full 5 years, I think half a decade of increasing jihad will get people fed up with them, then hopefully the economy will go under near the end of a Corbyn premiership so we can be sick of both parties at the same time..
If think you might be underestimating how bad a state our finances are in and how much worse it willl be under Labour. We've had some pretty big cuts and several years of "austerity" under the Tories but we're still running a deficit. I'm almost certain this is mainly due to the millions of immigrants we have here on benefits (costing £180 billion a year by one estimate) and all the jihadis and terror suspects we're tracking and ; these problems will get worse regardless, but under Labour with open boarders and no benefits cap, coupled with free University for thousands of leftist morons would be a disaster in waiting. The Conservatives would probably cushion the blow by planning ahead and making more cuts, but Corbyn's labour would be pouring fuel on the fire and causing the necessary collapse to make migrants leave..
Since my vote won't make a difference in seats I'll back UKIP or another small party like Liberty GB of The Veteran an People's Party to boost their numbers and make them more viable in future..
I did consider it that way, it just comes down to what is more likely I guess.
Though I still think our finances are whacked from Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.
Think about it 13 years with Labour, and we're just averted the worst of the shit, but the damage is done, Labour was doing a pretty fine job of making things shitty, but to be brutally honest the Conservatives in the 80s and 90s laid the foundation.
This is what I mean by Conservatives keeping heads above water.
Labour makes a huge mess of things, and they don't leave anything on the upswing in financial terms, and when they do it's because they have no other choice, even still it's not a very good upswing. Think about the recessions at the turn of the decade that have been going on until now, as much as I hate to say it Cameron and his cronies did a decent job of stopping the torrent by making it a slightly heavy flow.
This is why Labour collapse would be undesirable IMO. With no re-build potential any small progress would be hailed and then it would all be broken down again like some Ghetto foodstamp person getting their stamps and buying useless shit. A Conservative collapse would cripple everything.
Money would be crippled, governmental power would be crippled, industry would be crippled, education would be crippled.
The only thing that could be used to re-build is to wipe the slate clean with a total collapse. Throw out the governmental system, refine it into something that is actually representative, kick out all of the MPs and bar any attempts to re-instate the parties under a different name by imposing some sort of control process to cripple the partie's monopoly on the political system.
There's a lot of things you could do.
BUt to Tl;dr for you: I think that a Labour collapse would be a drawn out and prolonged struggle, like trying to keep a Flake standing up in a melting ice cream cone whilst piling on more ice cream to keep it melting at a reasonable rate. .
Conservative would be "I can keep this going for a while with this A/C unit to prolong the melting process, but my A/C will break and the ice cream will melt and I won't be able to use it anymore so I will have to start fresh."
Labour has lit the fuse by allowing mass migration; which is the biggest problem, but the Tories are still allowing it. Our spending will be unsustainable whoever is in charge,
Labour will inflate the bubble much quicker and make public service demands higher than ever.. To me the only significant difference is how many people are in the country when it collapses, a few yeas at 1 million a year under Labour might not be as bad .8 million a year for a decade.
Possibly the biggest reason I'd rather have it collapse under Labour is the blame will generally be dropped on whichever government is in power at the time and if it doesn't collapse under socialist watch then the blame will be laid on capitalism and we'll end up under a communist regime afterwards..
I think after five years the Conservatives will have lost most of their support and if we can get Labour to destroy themselves shortly after we can get as close to a fresh start as we need.. If if goes down under the Tories; the right will take the blame for everything and leftists will be able to blame everything on ''right wingers'' for decades..
I suppose you're right, but when you talk about problem inheritance, any rational person would be able to look back and go "huh, labour set it up to fail".
Then again, rationality is not something evident in the UK today....
>> rationality is not something evident in the UK today....
Exactly, we wouldn't have this problem in the first place if people were rational. They'll simply blame whoever's in power at the time and go to the other extreme. It's why communism leads to fascism and vice versa.. I don't know about you but fascism seems preferable to communism IMO..
Holy shit dude, Feudal Serfdom is preferable to Communism.
your Nigel Farage is a treasure. Well spoken, intelligent, clever, funny(i could go on) I'd like to think our founding fathers were cut from that same cloth.
We don't have politicians like that in America, we have corrupt, cynical, venal, hypocritical, awful louts that play to the dolts we call citizens
