jimmychanga (05/30/2013) [-] Wouldn't the logical way to pronounce it be "jif"? I know that gift and give are pronounced with a hard g, but generally, when a c or a g is followed by an e, i, or y, it becomes a soft c or a soft g. Well almost all the words that contain a 'gi' in it have a hard 'g'. Gift, give, girl, gizmo, etc. Yet the words that have soft G are followed by E. Like Germany and germ. So basically if followed by an I, it's a hard G. I can't even think of a word that starts with GI that has a soft G. It doesn't really matter, g.i.f is an acronym so technically you're supposed to say out each individual letter like CEO. #494 -

HorriblyCrazy (05/14/2013) [-] Some women need to take iron supplements to stop from fainting or becoming anemic. Others need to go to extreme measures to deal with mind-shattering cramps that can hurt enough to make them vomit, or faint. Birth control pills help with many of these problems, but may carry unpleasant side effects on their own, like weight gain and health problems. Usually these are minimal at best, but weight gain can be 20-30lbs for some women, and the pill may cause heart problems, stroke, or more. Periods can also cause womens boobs to be extremely tender, their backs to hurt, and a bunch of other shitty stuff. Luckily for some women, cramps stop after childbirth, though for some women they worsen, or are simply never a problem. It's all genetics and luck, and either way, it's not a healthy process. Tampons and pads have chemicals in the from the manufacturing process, blood is EVERYWHERE, you probably have to sleep differently to avoid waking up in the red sea, and tampons can actually extend a woman's period by 1-3 days. Oh, and some women's periods can last for months at a time. MONTHS. oh, and the hormones that make some women bitchy, or happy, or crazy horny, can also cause women to be suicidal. every single month. (typically.) " Periods can actually cause someone to die. Well first off, let me explain that I am a girl. I have periods so bad I can hardly walk, and I often vomit from them. I get cramps two weeks before my period starts, and they often cause me to wake up at night from them. And yes I do have to sleep in odd positions in order to prevent waking up covered in blood. Yet I don't complain about them. Maybe it's because of my circumstances in my family where the women have often got much much worse (like blacking out from cramps) but my point being, I don't think it's something to complain about. It hurts and girls have every right to hate it but I'm personally grateful that I live in a country where medications are available to help treat the symptoms. Also I'm not on birth control, but many of my friends who are have had positive side effects and it has helped their monthly problems. Also, I'm not saying you're wrong, but could you link to evidence that someone has died from their period, and nothing else? I've never heard of anyone dying that way. #70 -
N. Korean citizen (05/14/2013) [-] yeah think about it, we men have to listen to women's bitching every month, sometimes months, THAT if something makes you suicidal. so just because something is natural, you're not allowed to complain about it? AHH MY HEADWOUND HURTS. well duh, it's natural to feel pain after being shot in the head. stop complaining. get birth control to regulate your period. yeah, that's a fantastic idea. I'm sure women would appreciate that advice. ...you.. you DO know why they have to go to the bathroom... right? like.. does someone have to explain that to you? First off, I'm a girl so yes I know why they have to go to the bathroom. What I was saying that girls often use that as an excuse even when they aren't on their period. I know because I have done that as well. And I don't understand your logic. How at all is a gunshot wound natural compared to someone's period? Pain is natural yes, though the severity of a gunshot wound is a bit more rare then someone's period. And there are other options then birth control. Birth control is simply the most popular and most helpful solution (in most cases) I could not agree with you more, and it's not like it's seriously interfering with one's life so much that they notice it on some ridiculous level. For example the other day I realized I have been going through this for almost an entire decade so far, and it hasnt seemed been the most intrusive thing. | ||

| The dude looks a bit squashed and slanted to one side, otherwise its pretty cool, nice coloring and all. I've never heard of "adobe photoshop elements" for some reason I doubt that it's exactly the same thing as "adobe photoshop", considering that it came with your tablet, and that photoshop would normally cost MORE than your regular tablet. Just stick to SAI if you're comfortable with it oh and the drawing looks fine, I'd recommend not getting too attached to each drawing you do, and just move on to new stuff, especially with that one because it's just so finished that giving critique on it would kinda go to waste. at first glance I don't see any real problems with it. the cloth acts a bit "un-cloth-like" but that's about it | ||
