And the weird thing is I still like Pokemon (though not the worship that it gets here, haven't bought one since Pearl). I just got fucking pissed when people were like OMG IT'S IN 3-D WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH when it's just shit cel-shaded 3-D and they had other 3-D Pokemon games before, namely Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Coliseum and Pokemon Battle Revolution. Sure they were console versions but IT'S BEEN DONE BY OTHER FRANCHISES FOR DECADES. EVEN MARIO CAUGHT ON BEFORE THIS FRANCHISE

pokemon IS being called out for being repetitive just like COD and madden. But pokemons excuse is that they're run by nintendo: the company that refuses to slightly change their game franchises, just look at mario and zelda

Game like pokemon and cod never change or innovate with their games because it's what most dumb fans want and the developers are afraid that doing anything new and changing the OLD formula will get the fans angry and lower the sales...
