I'm not saying they aren't sad, it's just it doesn't phase me or ruin my day or anything like that because it's just how things are. It's been that way since the, well, since life has been around. It's just something that's there, will always be there, and nothing we can do about it. It's just better if you come to terms with it and accept it for what it is.

I've just gotten to a point where I don't give a shit anymore, death doesn't really phase me, neither does suicide, or anything of that sort. Of course if it was the death of a close/loved one then it'd be different. But for the most part I have come to terms with the fact that death is just part of our world and it shouldn't bother us. So I can easily joke about these things and not feel bad at all, yet if I came across someone struggling with depression who was on the verge of suicide I would help (I have before, my girlfriend struggles with depression and anxiety almost daily, I've talked her out of overdosing before.) And I just realized I went on a rant of my own, oh well. I understood what he meant it's just so retarded I don't see how it applies.

Death isn't sad in itself unless you're close to it, but murders are sad because they didn't choose to die, yet someone chose that fate for them. Suicides are also sad (unless murder/suicide) because they couldn't realize that people loved them, and just couldn't find a reason to go on.
