I typed "define:their" into Google and that came up.
dictionary.com says "1. a form of the possessive case of they used as an attributive adjective, before a noun: their home; their rights as citizens; their departure for Rome.
2.
(used after an indefinite singular antecedent in place of the definite masculine form his or the definite feminine form her ): Someone left their book on the table. Did everyone bring their lunch?"
freedictionary.com says "1. Used as a modifier before a noun: their accomplishments; their home town.
2. Usage Problem His, her, or its: "It is fatal for anyone who writes to think of their sex" (Virginia Woolf)."

You two are just pissed off because I called you spamwhores.

But you don't agree with the original idea - that we have spambots on this very website ?
That's odd, seeing how it's very obvious we've always had them.
You two may or may not be, I cannot be sure of it.

So, by this standard, pocketstooheavy 's comment "Perhaps other people are using the system properly as well?" made you laugh, but "But, of course, there may also be a bot or two. I don't know." did not make you laugh ?

I think the same thing. Also the ones where a 3rd grade student stupefies a professor about the existence of/nonexistence of God and leaves the professor speechless with kindergarten logic.
User avatar #6 - captainfuckitall (08/31/2013) [-]
Actually, as much as it may seem otherwise, child logic is usually very witty and has some very good reasoning attached to it. The reason why is because they don't make common associations of things until they're teenagers, so everything in front of them just seems very simple so they make connections that way. Perfect example: (and this is a true story told by a presenter on the topic of education) in a classroom, his daughter was drawing. The teacher came up and asked what she was drawing and the girl replied "I'm drawing a picture of god", the teacher said "But nobody knows what god looks like", to which the child replied "They will in a minute".

See, to us, it seems VERY impressive and witty, because we would have to think for a while to come up with such a retort, as we usually look for things on a deeper meaning; but children only see things as they are, which is exactly why they don't find their own 'wit' witty, because to them it's just obvious

I see you like to quote TED talks without proper citation. Do not worry, friend, I have you covered.

Thank you, that is exactly what I am talking about and I'm sure you are, in fact, too sexy for me
#10 - hillbillypowpow (09/01/2013) [-]
Yeah, but often kids don't have anywhere near the language skills required to use their wit and logic. Though I'm sure there are some cases, such as the example you gave, where they do. Also the kid in the post made a very mature sexual joke, which makes me call bullshit.
User avatar #13 - toosexyforyou (09/01/2013) [-]
The thing people fail to notice (while they're being impressed by a child's logic) is that it's not very impressive at all. The child might have said something clever but they don't understand exactly how clever what they said really was. The reason an adult wouldn't answer "They will in a minute" when asked "how could you be drawing a picture of God when no one knows what He looks like?" is because that is a very stupid answer. Adults know that the picture you are drawing is merely your interpretation of God and not His actual form.

In the case where the 3rd grade student "stupefies" a professor about the existence/nonexistence of God is just simply bullshit. Not only does his logic not make sense, but the professor's reaction to it is just unrealistic. It's obviously a story made up by someone to start a religious circle jerk.

Yes, I love the 3D, especially with all of the headaches that I get from using it. The 3D on the 3DS isn't very good, and it causes me to get massive headaches and migraines, so it isn't fun to use.
