FYI people are butthurt at your comment because it was a terrorist organization based out of Afghanistan that attacked the twin towers, not a country. The reason we invaded Iraq was because Saddam was a bully and Bush convinced the American people he was behind 9/11, even though he wasn't. And then many people believe we stayed there for oil, I don't because it seems to me that this war is costing more than we are making in oil but I don't know the numbers so I could be wrong.

The government was unstable but we quickly stabilized it. The 9/11 attacks, from what I know, were an end-point response to American invasion because of depleted oil stocks everywhere else.

1) Its economy is sustainable
2) Holds the most advanced military
3) Has a global sphere of influence
