Well considering you made your FJ account this year and also that I saw this post back in 2010, I doubt you did and if you did it was copy/pasted. But this is an ancient repost, and goddammit you guys need to stop calling football soccer.

Soccer is short for Association Football. It's a nickname. So there is nothing wrong with calling it soccer.

Association Football --- Soccer. American Football is not a pussy sport, it has harder hits than rugby since they have armor so they don't hold back. In rugby, the tackles are much more tactical, not just bashing the living fuck out of another person.
And why does it bother you that people call it soccer? Where does someone calling it soccer ruin your life in a way that you must correct everyone who says soccer... You know what they are referring to because there is only one sport named soccer, someone saying football will be confusing since two sports want that name..

I am actually a soccer player, I dislike American Football, I love soccer.

You tackle the legs, grab the legs, grab the torso, grab the arms. In football, you just tackle the shit out of the other person hoping they drop the ball or come crashing down.
