Actually the latest concensus is that most species of goannas better known as monitor lizard are in fact venomous. Apart from the komodo dragon its very mild, typically no worse than the reaction from getting stung by about 5 or 6 bees maybe. Infection is definitely the main worry though. Source. komodo dragons are not venomous they just have a shit ton of bacteria in their mouths that infect whatever they bite.
As i wrote this i googled to make sure i was still right, turns out in 2009 they found out they do have a venom news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2009/05/090518-komodo-dragon-venom.html

Yea it's gone back and forth the past few years but the general consensus is that they are in fact venomous though just mildly. The main part that will fuck your day up is the huge bacterial load that overloads the immune system. Monitors are just about the coolest animals on the planet and disturbingly smart for a reptile
