doug made a alarm system out of scrap, which was better than just letting someone standing post. he subtlely warned lee about his presence when they were on the farm, laser pointer if you gave him a candy bar in season 1 he will give it to you, half eaten but stil he didnt put stress on lily and he saved fucking ben.

Well, now I have to play season 1 again, with Doug by my side. I don't want to appear gay. All Carly was good for was leading you on, liking black men and getting killed .

We are entitled to our opinions about characters. But again, I just could never bring myself to hate Ben. Everybody in that game had problems, not just Ben. It just seems that Ben get's the short end of the stick because he is a scared kid. If anything, I connect with him better than the other characters because I'm around the same age and I would probably be the same, a scared kid. As he says if you decide not to let him drop in the bell tower,

Regardless of how you see him, it's stuff like this that just drives home my point from earlier. He is just a scared kid in this post apocalyptic world.

But I see it from a different point of view. Regardless of his reasons for giving meds to the bandits, it kept them at bay. Lee get's to snooping around and finds the next drop off stash and takes it back. The moment the bandits don't get their "payment" is the moment shit hits the fan. They even claimed in the game that the bandits have not attacked as often, suggesting this is Ben's doing. If anything, the ones to blame for the deaths of all those characters are Lee and Lilly just as much as Ben. Lilly is even the one who outright kills Carly. I always saw it as him taking a risk to protect everybody. Which is why I never actually hated him.

But that is just my take on his character.

only 2 points I'd like to make

1. It seemed like was he so doing it for that "friend" rather than the benefit of the group, if it was the latter he should of let the group know and they make a communal decision on that.

2. Lilly stated they were running out. once they did it wouldn't mattered what ben did I guess. also for the lilly killing carly; I always thought that was her trying to shoot someone else and she got in the way. Lilly clearly regretted it.
