Mayhem has run into several problems with the law. His "act" seems to actually be somewhat of his real personality. Most of his arrests seem to be a result of him fighting with police, seems like he has a problem with authority. I don't really remember him getting in trouble for beating his girlfriend, but I wouldn't be surprised if that did happen at some point.

It honesty makes sense why a lot of wrestlers,MMA, and boxers have problems mentally. They are all showing signs of being sociopaths, putting themselves and others at harm through violence. I get it though seeing people fight brings out primal instinct in us that makes us excited. But we need to have better preventive measures to not have people with mental problems fighting it out for our entertainment If you like fighting it's cool. I'm just saying from a different point.
