I generally dont notice the fumes as its got a wick in it. The wick is soaked in fluid and it seeps up the wick and the flint wheel lights it.

At least thats how mine is and mines from 1944.
User avatar #34 - isaapostasied (07/04/2012) [-]
Yeah, for cigs and cigars its fine because you don't have to use a sustained flame as you inhale the smoke, with a bowl or anything like that, you get a lot more of the gasses, especially when it keeps going out and you need to relight over and over.
User avatar #36 - thamuz (07/04/2012) [-]
I dont smoke weed so I dont have that issue :P

I have a friend who converted an old gas mask into a smoker. its pretty funny watching him sit there and wear it.
User avatar #37 - isaapostasied (07/04/2012) [-]
They actually make gas masks with bong attachments on them now. A friend and I basically made the ghetto version of one using a milk jug haha. Never was really fond of them, the smoke stings my eyes to much and I'm usually to high to remember to close them when I use one haha.

its the natural flow of events, one lighter moves on to another caretaker, if one keeps a lighter for too long, the lighter feel pinned down and becomes depressed, the lighter will become defective and then end up running out of fluid and dies

Cigars for special occassions. I keep the zippo just in case. It never really has issues staying lit so I love it
User avatar #64 - potatotown (07/04/2012) [-]
me too, i have a zippo for when i want to light blunts and spliffs, ive tried taking a bong hit with a zippo, tasted nasty as fuck
User avatar #67 - thamuz (07/04/2012) [-]
well,it is lighter fluid :P I have a friend who lights his bong with a blowtorch..
User avatar #69 - potatotown (07/04/2012) [-]
yea, the lighter fluid has a strong aroma and ruins the nice, smooth flavor of whatever strain of cannabis i happen to be shmoking at the time, but butane has pretty much no smell and you get most of the flavor, and ive always wanted to use a blowtorch, but you would think that would blow all the weed around, although i have once used the glass wands that you heat with a blowtorch, they are absolutely phenomenal
User avatar #70 - thamuz (07/04/2012) [-]
Thats a complaint i hear alot about zippos. But I love mine. and with a good cigar I can light up and flick it out.

Know any good affordable cigars?
User avatar #72 - potatotown (07/04/2012) [-]
not really, i occasionally smoke cigars if im out on a boat fishing with some buddies, but in all honesty, ive never bought cigars, whenever i smoke a cigar, my roommate buys them because he's really big on tobacco while im not all that into it, but what he gets, damn they're good, actually, i normally hate tobacco, but those are an exception.
You seem to be quite the knowledgeable person and know your fair share on the subject, so when you smoke cigars, what do you normally smoke? Im disappointed in myself for this, but the closet thing to a cigar that i have bought is a Dutch Maser, and i didnt even smoke what was in it, i gutted it and rolled a blunt, that part im not disappointed in, it was a fine blunt, but as far as my cigar side of me goes, im disappointed in myself
User avatar #73 - thamuz (07/04/2012) [-]
Cause I am a poorfag I usually get white owl. Every now and then I get to try something kinda fancy, dunno the names of half this shit tho :/
User avatar #74 - potatotown (07/04/2012) [-]
ive smoked a white owl before, they're not half bad, i dont even know where the fuck you buy those high end cigars that come in the humidors and are all hand rolled, ive smoked one, amazing
User avatar #75 - thamuz (07/04/2012) [-]
Cuba? My favorite 3 from White Owl are Vanilla,Black Berry and Sweet. I dont like straight hard cigars cause they are just really too strong for my liking.
User avatar #76 - potatotown (07/04/2012) [-]
Im pretty sure they were Cuban, but i liked it, but at first i felt like i was going to die, but i agree with you on on the flavors, some good shit right there, i prefer the vanilla, mix that with some lavender kush, lungasm
User avatar #78 - thamuz (07/04/2012) [-]
Im not spendin a grand on one cigar,30 bucks a box? seems like a good buy to me.
User avatar #82 - potatotown (07/04/2012) [-]
do people really spend that much on 1 cigar?
#85 - potatotown (07/04/2012) [-]

#87 - potatotown (07/04/2012) [-]

#90 - potatotown (07/04/2012) [-]
the homeless are universally good for everything, need someone to take your spot at your sister's wedding? Get a hobo
You see some teenagers outside a liquor store waiting for someone to buy them booze? Hobo no problem!
You feel the need to shoot your new gun in an alley way but have no targets? Thats what hobos were put on this earth for, no one cares about them!

I use them to babysit.

I pay them in table scraps.

And access to a shower. But I usually hose them down with a pressure washer. Dont want no dirty scabies in my house.

Yeah, if it wasn't for the fumes I'd use one too, there is nothing more annoying than trying to light something in the wind...

User avatar #587 - trollhammer (07/01/2012) [-]
i must also point out that Vikings did not really wear horned helmets. The other European countries painted an exaggerated image of them. BUT, they did believe dying on the battlefield was the most honorable death. otherwise, no Valhalla (Sovngarde in Skyrim)

Yeah, exactly. I remember a few months ago I was at a Flea Market and there was a stall with a guy selling swords and helmets and shit like that. I got super annoyed when two 12 year old looking kids came up and were talking about how a helmet in the stand was the "Skyrim Helmet". But, what can you do, you know? haha

It's still kind of in the formation stage, we only have two songs written yet. We're shooting for a blackened death sound influenced by psychadelic/prog rock, and doom and stoner metal, like Candlemass, Electric Wizard, Sleep, stuff like that. Super Atmospheric and brutal but with beautiful moments like with Opeth.
