It's one of the anime's that got me back into anime as an adult. I saw the original digimon as a kid and didn't pick up anime regularly after that until girls und panzer.
I did stumble upon Grenadier before GuP but that's an exception.

Yea. The original digimon was one of the best cartoons of my childhood.
I'm a history buff in general and I have an interest for military stuff in general.

I was conscripted into the navy as coastal infantry, working as a signalist (standard rifleman gear plus radio or telephone) for about half a year. Nowdays I shoot on my freetime with reservists. Loads of fun!

I served my time and now I'm placed in the reserve. That's how conscription works here.

I'd say my time in the militay was okay. No amusement park but Ive never regretted it.
I miss the friends I made there though. Everyone working together to achieve goals or just hang out during breaks/freetime.
