I know jack shit about LoZ. Can you explain how there is only one Ganon? For reference I've only played Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass.

Ganondorf's first appearance took place in Ocarina of Time, where he obtained the Triforce of Power, sllowing him to assume his demon form, Ganon. After that, the timeline splits due to the time travel shenanigans of Ocarina where Link could skip seven years forward and back in time as an adult and child.

In the timeline where Link was an adult, Ganondorf is sealed into the Sacred Realm but he eventually escapes, and Hyrule is flooded to prevent his rise. This leads to Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks.

In the timeline where Link returns to his child age and disappears in search of his fairy Navi, Ganondorf is broken free by Zant in Twilight Princess, which then leads to Four Swords Adventures where Ganondorf is reincarnated and killed again.

In the timeline where Link fails and Ganondorf rules, Ganon is sealed/killed and then revived multiple times. This timeline contains Zelda 1, 2, Link to the Past, the Oracle games and Awakening, not in that order.

So technically speaking, there is only ever one Ganon in existence, his story is just fragmented over multiple timelines and narratives.

Well no, not technically. Ganondorf only actually shows up in about 3 games but Ganon is in a lot more, and Ganon is just Ganondorf's demon form.

You seem knowledgeable on the subject, is that the same reason he sometimes get's 2 hp per level instead of one?

Leveling up in Fire Emblem is based on a percentage chance of stats increasing based on class or the character (this particular part I'm not sure which is correct, it may be a combination of both). Like a character may have 30% chance to increase Magic but a 70% chance to increase Strength, so Strength will increase pretty frequently and Magic will only increase once in a while. This is also why a character will sometimes have a bunch of stats increase one level and almost none increase at a different level.

The reason why a stat would increase twice is because the chance to increase exceeds 100%. The hundred represents a guaranteed increase by one while the excess beyond 100% is another chance to increase. So 120% means there is a guaranteed increase of 1 and an additional 20% chance for it to increase by 2.

That 'what I got' got me. you glorious bastard. Also, yeah, he can grape people in the mouth heavy duty with aptitude if you go for max levels everywhere.

Partly. It's also the reason why it's not uncommon to see every single one of his stats go up at once.
