if you're making a huge switch, i recommend two clints which may be of service. the raptr client, which allows you to earn rewards by playing games and stuff. the other is the overworlf client which is pretty much an organizer for other clients and programs and stuff. a long time ago when i first bought this computer i knew nothing about hardware capabilities so i was expecting to be ale to play games. i got a ton of clients for stuff and then never used any of it since i cant really play anything on this. hopefully you'll find more use for them. and yes they are free.

i myself am a poor console fag. even if i have to go hungry for a month i am buying the collector's edition. i would be a pc gamer if i had enough money for a rig. my currect pc is*sigh* 5 year old premade bestbuy laptop. cheapest model they had. at least its not a dell mini.

I have always been a console fag up until now. I've always wanted to make the switch but, like you, never had the money. Finally I got enough money saved up and splashed out £780 (or $1280) on a brand new PC. I've yet to even boot it up so I'm typing this on my *I think* 4 year old laptop.

so it's been announced that DS2 is set in the future? i haven't been all that up-to-date with the news, as i've been too busy being disappointed that the pokemon bank release was delayed. how far into the future? and have they explained how it appears so light in the trailer?
User avatar #23 - ingabenwetrust (01/03/2014) [-]
I originally thought that it was set in the past, as the bonfires are still present and I wouldn't think that they would make one ending from Dark Souls true and the other wrong. But the idea is that is is set in the future, but you don't know how far into the future. That way if you picked the light-lord ending and kindled the flame then Dark Souls 2 would just be set further into the future than if you let the flame die.

Honestly, I'm not sure if any of this will be answered in Dark Souls 2. The game is set far into the future from Dark Souls and From Software are the type of guys to just leave these questions up to your imagination, after all it makes the lore more interesting and involves the community

obsessed cult member wouldnt really work in my opinion. i dont think a crazed fan would try to kill the one they're worshiping. and i may be a little rusty on the fine details like attacks that i've only seen once or twice but doesnt solaire use lightning bolts(or whatever that sunbro spell is) when attacked?
User avatar #19 - ingabenwetrust (01/03/2014) [-]
Yes, Solaire uses the Lightning Spear miracle because he is in the Warriors of Sunlight covenant and it is given to all members. But the developers have actually stated that Andre was originally intended to be the first born, but before release they decided to change it and opt for a more ambiguous approach, leaving the question un-answered.

i was saying that all SILVER knights are illusion(at the time that the game takes place). there are no silver ones anywhere but anor londo and the only other knights are scattered around lordran with black armor. but that is an awesome theory. yeah i can definately see andre of astora as an exiled god of war. the only problem with that though is how obsessed solaire is with the sun. i think that strongly suggests that he is the firstborn, since i cant think of any other origin for him. plus if you save him you can summon him for the fight with gwyn, which might be kinda sybolic of him striking back at his father for alienating him.
User avatar #17 - ingabenwetrust (01/03/2014) [-]
True, Solaire helping you to kill Gwyn could be the firstborn taking his revenge. And also, the Sunlight Medals description says that the old god still watches over his followers closely, which would explain Solaire initiating you into the Warriors of Sunlight. However, is is so hard to believe that he could just be a fanatical cult member?
And Black Knights are just Silver Knights that were burnt in the flame when Gwyn re-entered the kiln.
