He doesn't do that though... He certainly doesn't go out of his way to attack people. He is a professional and engages in formal debates where both parties come and present their evidence. You just want to dislike him.

Unless of course there is an instance in which he has attacked people out of nowhere. I'd want to hear about that.

His worldview is reliant on evidence. When somebody believes something without evidence he is confused and you could call that a personal flaw. Perhaps he comes across as patronizing but I honestly think that's just a mixture of his accent with his blunt dismissal of claims that are unsupported by science.

Evolution, as a whole, is an absolutely absurd idea and I imagine if somebody presented it to him without evidence he wouldn't buy into it at all. The fact that the evidence is overwhelmingly compelling is what convinces him and people like him.

In his view (and mine), evidence is what lends credibility to an idea and nothing else. In fact, that is how everyone thinks. We mostly differ on just what constitutes evidence.
