Actually the term American is coined to describe United States Citizens. TO describe someone on the continent of North America, you traditionally refer to their country, since there are only 3.

So please, both of you try to state your "facts" without being so hostile and making an ass of yourself.


(Yes American CAN be used to describe a person from North America, however it is informal.)
