Not all schools are CofE. You're right they shouldn't exist though, they're discriminatory and intolerant for barring people without religion.

Primary school, you just accept it as the normality. Because the Christian/Catholic schools were always better than the shitty public ones. But in secondary school they really ease up on it, and you don't have to say a prayer or believe in God. Even my RE teacher didn't believe in God. We just had to have Mass and shit because after all it was a catholic school, but that doesn't mean the students are religious.

The thing about Church of England schools is that children aren't forced to go to them, the parents can choose the school to send their child to.
However, I went to a primary school in the northwest of England, and we would occasionally say a prayer and sing hymns at Assembly, but I never felt like religion was forced onto me, it was just sort of there to give a structure to the schools moral values and a way to teach morals to children.

In fact when I decided that I was atheist I didn't actually think it that much of a big deal, and when I made it known I was encouraged to have my own belief.

But you're right with there not being a separation, especially with the Bishops that sit in the House Of Lords, which is wrong.

Yeah...were just going to have different opinions on this one :/
This is one of those Im-not-going-to-argue-about-it things because I can't imagine a country, or the world for that matter without a leader. Although the idea is wonderful.

No harm no foul.

This is a very idealistic situation. the reality is that governments control almost everything so it would be almost impossible to change the system now. But hey, maybe our great great grandchildren will live to see it.

I didnt exaggerate thats the sad thing.
I never said we have it right either.

I actually just saw what you wrote in your #377 comment, I guess if I looked at it that way I do understand where fuzzyballs is coming from.

you didn't exaggerate either places circumstance, you just used the logic were not as bad as them so were ok. to use argument through exaggeration myself, thats like saying its ok that i killed 1 person because hitler killed millions so im not as bad. Personally im an anarchist so i have quite strong opinions on this, and no that doesnt mean i want the country to be in disarray, it just means i dont think their should be a leader. I think the people should be able to lead themselves, because as we all know, power corrupts people.
