I had a pet timber wolf for a little while, he was a year or two old and also a rescue after poachers killed his parents. He could eat most anything and even chewed a hole in a inch and a half thick oak door. Not disagreeing with the "don't feed dogs chicken bones" thing, because dogs aren't timber wolves, I just wanted to mention him.

Man, i had some of the most fun i've ever had with him. But wolves are pack animals and dont like being alone, and with my parents working full time jobs and my brother and i going to school, he was alone for the majority of the day. I used to wrestle with him, he was 2 or 3 and i was 8 or 9, because we were pretty much the same size. One day he was tied to a tree with a steel cable, because he can chew through pretty much everything else, and he jumped a six foot fence and somehow got the clasp connecting the cable to his collar undone. I haven't seen him since.

To be fair, they are likely to have doggy diarrhea from lot's of human food, or changes in diet. Diarrhea aint death though.

Diarrhea / loose stomach not sure if it translates shouldn't be a problem nor death, as you said. But if they eat something like chickenbones the bones, not the knuckles it can get stuck in the intestines and cause bloody diarrhea, which not only is really painful for the dog, but can also be potentially dangerous.
