Yeah, but at least with welding you aren't risking having a mold blow up on your face, or metal dripping through your ladle because we're too fucking cheap (read: poor) to get new ones.

Big problem with welding is the eye pain, even with proper shielding. I've never done it, but my friend's complained to me about it.

Ah. Photokeratitis. I was told that it feels similar to having dirt, or an eyelash in your eye. Of course, it doesn't really compare to have a red-hot metal flying at tour face.
Why does that happen, anyway? Does the mold cool down suddently or something?

Just makes it hotter and collects sweat. I'd like a facemask but not willing to shell out 70+ dollars for a good one when a pair of 5 or 6 dollar glasses works fine.

So it pretty much feels like a wearing a big pressure cooker. I somewhat know the feel. I've done some welding in a small room, wearing too many layers and an old lead apron. Shit was mad humid, tho

What's 1650 fahrenheit to celsius? 899C. Drier than a Saharan virgin, too.

Because I work in a fucking foundry and have to slave over a goddamn furnace and it's 250+ degrees just standing beside it. Have to work at night in the summer, and it doesn't help I live in Alabama.
