As long as these people continue to teach and encourage their children to be fat and that fat is healthy, it might be a while before we see the problem "sort itself out." Not only that but the problem could become worse as more and more people just join the mindset of "Eh, I'm too lazy to be healthy, so I'm just going to try and change society to fit my world view."

Sadly, we're too humanistic to do something like that at this stage of our species. We'll likely start being less humanitarian when overpopulation is a much bigger issue.

I support helping people who have genetic (legitimate) issues that cause them weight issues and need more than simple exercise and diet to be normal. Sadly they tend to be in a minority among that group of individuals.
