| That is not what the comic is saying. The comic looks to be set in a interview for a job. The kid comes in expecting an easy-in for the job because he has a degree. But he doesn't understand that just having a degree isnt all that you need. So when asked what "real world skills" he has, he says he can take tests. The author is poking at the fact that a lot of students get a free ride to college from either their parents or another beneficiary, and they have never had an actual job were they depended on the money. Therefor, they have no real world skills. All they have is education, which is worth a lot, but it is not enough to work in a work place. | ||

| No, it doesnt invalidate anything. I'm just saying you are trying a bit too hard for this one when you aren't even understanding the comic fully. I do understand the comic fully and that comic is only one man's opinion, and mine differentiates from his, hence to me tests are important, and to him they aren't. | A. Middle B. 23 C. Yes, and was until financial issues piled up(having to work to keep a family of three going after my mother and father both became jobless) D. International has nothing to do with it, this schooling system is a poor choice. All you are graded on is how well you do on a test, but nothing tests your retention of that knowledge adequately. Okay the fact that you're not a spoiled 12 year old, and the fact that you've backed up your reason for hating the school system gives you more credibility in my mind, so all I'll leave you with is I have my opinion and you have yours, and since I'm only 18 and you've finished college, there isn't anything I can particularly tell you that you probably don't know. | ||

| Im done. You are over using words to try to sound smart. You could have said that in about 2 sentences. THE POINT BEING, A lot of students go through college never working and ACTUAL JOB in their life and then expect to be handed a job because they have a degree. No, I'm articulating my thoughts the only way I know how asshole, and am having a casual argument. And even if I were trying to sound smart, you're proving that you aren't smart by disregarding my points because "I'm over-using words." Just because what I said is too long doesn't invalidate anything I've said. No, it doesnt invalidate anything. | Okay, well the comic is saying that a lot of people pop out of college and have never actually worked a job. So they have no real skills besides education. So they are worthless. Yea, but clearly the cartoonist behind the aforementioned drawing is overly-skeptical and is blinded by naivety. Of course there are jobs that hire people with a lowly degree or diploma, and those are jobs that monkeys can handle while jobs that specialize in a certain subject require a more prominent degree such as bachelor's, phd, master's, etc. and after you've earned degrees from higher learning is when you learn real life applications, so if this cartoon were to be true, it only applies to dropouts or people who've earned only a diploma and/or an associate's degree which in reality delineate that you don't persevere, don't have the means to do so, or simply just don't care.
