Once you plan out everything the week before, you just need to remember where to loop shit, add in extra instruments. WIth actual instruments, no matter how good you are there is always problems or spots that need improv.

Piano, you need to be able to compose shit real time along with all other instruments. When you mess up, it gets noticed. and the chances of messing up are higher. With electronic music, its all based on whatever program your using. (i.e. protools) find a nice sine wave/ sawtooth you like, change pitch, tempo, gain, etc. and add it to a loop.

totally and completely not true. live performing from any medium, if you mess up, there's an equal chance of it getting noticed. you're right when you say that he doesn't do everything FROM SCRATCH on stage, but that's only because like i said, he does all of it himself. djing live though is just as hard as playing an instrument live. as for his appearance, i didn't think that how a musician looks is just as important...........

P.S. I'm in a class called music tech.... honestly isn't SUPER hard... but time consuming.
My music tech teacher doesn't see much instrumental value or lyrical value in techno/ Dubstep.

............ you're actually retarded. what the fuck do you think that playing piano is? couldn't you just say that it's "pressing buttons" as well? i play piano, and i also produce electronic music. i also work at a professional recording studio. the amount of time, and effort, that skrillex puts in is COMPLETELY comparable to playing an instrumet, especially since he also uses ANALOG EQUIPMENT most of which must be controlled BY HAND. any real musician will appreciate all types of music, and will also give credit to those who have it coming. here's a good example: my dad was Ray Charles' guitar player for over 10 years, and he thinks that skrillex is a fucking boss.
