Do you have a different pc you can connect the monitor to? Maybe something is wrong with the cable.
I assume your old monitor didn't have these problems so the ports on your pc should be fine.

Hmmm The only thing I can think about is that your monitor isn't connected well.
Check your cables, unplug them and plug them back in and see if it fixes anything.

Why is the start menu appearing on both screens? afaik it should only appear on one.
#26908 - multiplegermans (01/21/2015) [-]
It's been on both screens on win8/ 10 tech preview
User avatar #26912 - reginleaf (01/21/2015) [-]
Is that cause each one is a separate desktop? I was hoping they'd be separate dwm programs for each screen, but judging from your pic it looks like they're linked.
User avatar #26931 - multiplegermans (01/21/2015) [-]
It's just mirrored on to the other screen
User avatar #26860 - ihaspotato (01/20/2015) [-]
Perhaps i explained poorly, about the same size of the start menu flickers on the other monitor, it does not show up on both screens.
User avatar #26861 - reginleaf (01/20/2015) [-]
Does it occur only when you have something in fullscreen? Also what version of windows are you using? Also are you referring to the entire taskbar or only the little start menu icon?
User avatar #26868 - ihaspotato (01/20/2015) [-]
It kinda comes and goes, sometimes it totally spazzes out for about 10 minutes and sometimes it's just like normal. I'm using windows 7 and yes i am referring to the entire taskbar.

1. Disable scaling on the second monitor (My Digitall Flat Panels -> Scaling Options)

2. If that does not help, the second solution posted was to change your refresh rate then change it back:
AMD Catalyst Control Center > Desktop management > Desktop properties > refresh rate

Nah it was just a misused term on your end. Flickering taskbar vs flickering start menu.
User avatar #26873 - reginleaf (01/20/2015) [-]
While this issue was with windows 8.1 the solutions should still work for windows 7.

#26862 - afaik (01/20/2015) [-]
Fair enough. Also, I think that the entire taskbar is not stretched over two screens but each screen has it's own taskbar and the left one is flickering. I could misinterpret it entirely doe.
User avatar #26863 - reginleaf (01/20/2015) [-]
Usually the second screen does not have a second task bar at all.

Yeah it was overhyped, but as i said it's not what we were promised i mean the physics is like something out of GTA San Andreas and civilians die instantly if you shoot their toe. It's these small things that bugged me about it.

User avatar #1356 - ihaspotato (01/18/2015) [-]
Personally i fucking love it. It has fucking tons of sidequests, a much better story than the second one and the combat is improved overall. It feels like they actually paid attention to the critisism they recieved from gamers. I definately think it's worth the money since i think it has great replay value. Although my opinion is kinda biased because i'm a sucker for bioware games, but you could look up The Angry Joe review of the game or something similar if you're still unsure.

It might be but people don't want their kids being the opposite gender then they are. The kids expressing to wanting to do what the other gender usually does (stereotypically) scares them.
Luckily, my mother was typically good about this however it didn't stop the onslaught of Bratz, Barbie, makeup, ect being thrown at me.

Hopefully with the new generation of people we will get past gender when getting gifts.

It didn't bother me in the first game because it was the first one, and a game like AC had never been done before. I loved the setting in the Brotherhood, but the shit when he's talking to a god or whatever (that is in brotherhood, right?) I didn't like. The story, with the Borgias etc, was pretty exciting tho. I liked that you could upgrade a lot of stuff as well in that game.

The only game i found extremely repetitive was the first one. Eavesdrop on these guys, beat the shit out of that guy, pickpocket this guy and so on. Also the third one was one of the worst in the series.

but the key there is you stood up to him , even though you were afraid, and only when you realized there was no other choice. You exhausted every peaceful option. Maybe you didn't need to beat him to a bloody pulp, but I guess not killing him is good enough in terms of your own personal growth and the circumstances you were dealing with at the time. I mean, no one expects a sixth grader to have that kind of self control. So yeah, restraint. Maybe a beating is all he needed to understand he must stop, but unleashing pent up fury like that all at once could lead to results you didn't intend i.e. killing someone. Hatred is a natural response to someone who seeks to do you harm for no good reason. The key is to not let hatred dictate your actions. Although fighting him might very well be the only option you had, you let your hatred push you to the point where you were beating him until there was "blood everywhere." From your story, I gather this kind of aggression is not your instinctual reaction to abuse, but merely an instance where you let your emotions take over. Do just enough to make a person stop. Extra violence is unnecessary violence. And remember if you were the one on the floor bleeding to death, I bet you would hope he'd stop. Do unto others and so on and so forth. Furthermore, it is healthy to find an outlet for your aggression rather than bottling it up for so long. What works for me is working out. Harbor your hatred for a long time and one day you'll explode. Always let it out and no one will want to be around you. But find a productive outlet for your stress and you can find balance within yourself.

Lots and lots of observation. I was always the quiet one in high school. As such, I spent alot of time listening and watching other people, how they act, how they talk, etc. Problem is I always observed THEIR faults, and sadly it wasn't until much later I started to acknowledge my own. It is only when you are as critical on yourself as you are on others that you can truly begin to change who you are, and accept the mistakes you've made.
User avatar #47 - Churchandtex (01/11/2015) [-]
I know what you mean, man. People love to tell you, "You're beautiful/fine/perfect/etc just the way you are." Those people miss out on the beauty of one's own ability to improve themselves. I have a strong belief that most everyone's problems could be solved with self-improvement, but you need to see things without an ego first, you have to be critical but fair of yourself and others. I have a saying I think of when I think about these things: What happens to the ones who don't evolve? They go extinct.
