Well if you aren't a big lumbering unstoppable giant, they should at least go the full way and make you weak enough for the world to actually be scary.

Like I said, you're too big and menacing yourself for anything to pose as much as a threat to you as you are too them, but you aren't big enough to even seem truly dangerous or even slightly strong.

It really drives the weak feeling home because it resorts to artificial difficulty. If it had real difficulty, making you use the skill you have and everything you've learned throughout the game to overcome challenges, you could still retain that feeling of being incredibly strong while the world still seeming bigger and scarier. Instead, it makes you feel like a baby because even as you get stronger, learn new things, acquire new weapons, etc. The enemies from the beginning of the game are exactly the same except they have a bigger health bar and some armor piercing bullets.

Look up some Unreal Tournament 3 gameplay before you start commending Bioshock 2 for being so magnificent.

I've played a bit of Quake, but not a whole lot. Never played Unreal Tourny. Love Killing Floor, though. Although I still haven't played a whole lot of it.

Bioshock 2 was bad because they failed in making you a big daddy. They are supposed to be a giant mountains that shake the ground beneath their feet. You ended up being more of a foot hill.

It made you feel too weak to make it a big fast paced actiony shooter, but it made you feel too strong for it to be a semi-survival horror that the last game was. It really benefited last time because you were a small man in a giant scary world, now you are a resident there in a suit of armor and a giant drill but also weaker than everyone else like you that only has one weapon and no plasmids, which makes no cunting sense.

I did like the whole protection parts with the little sisters, and fights with the big sisters. I did like how they didn't make you the giant, unstoppable force that you think of after playing the first game. Keeps it a little more realistic, considering how a decent team of splicers could take you down. I remember seeing dead Big Daddys while playing through both games. The splicers are insane addicts, and will do anything to get a little ADAM. Not to mention that you're a prototype Big Daddy, and other versions will have been more improved (although you still have the plasmids & free will, which gives you a leg up).

"Shit was probably the most fun I've had in any online game ever"

I take it you don't play on PC.

Ehhh, meant to say 'some of' the most fun I've had. THE most fun I've had is easily Team Fortress 2. But I had so much fun with the Bioshock 2 online community that I can't help but recall on it fondly.
