ichigoichie (12/30/2015) [-] I really really doubt there will be a second season at all, let alone any time soon. I mean sure it was popular in both Japan and America but there are so many things to suggest it'll never happen: The NGNL source material is a LN, LN anime adaptations rarely get second seasons because they're usually just done to promote the source material and boost sales. There are only a few LN anime I can think of that off the top of my head that actually got a second season/sequels - Sword Art Online, Log Horizon & Railgun. Madhouse produced NGNL, it's rare for them to do second seasons but then again other production companies have been known to take over an anime for a second season. Popular anime don't always get second seasons, it all depends on things like BD sales too, not sure how well NGNL has sold though so it may have that going for it. There's also a lack of source material for a second season as far as I'm aware, Kamiya needs to pump out some more volumes before there's a chance. All i had was a link to some brazilian twitter at some anime con going in Brazil. NGNL is pretty popular in hueland. So basically nothing of substance. So probably just the yearly tease for a second season.  that was... okay the editing's good, but that video as a whole should have never gotten first place giving that one first place because of editing is like saying that Russia should be considered the first nation to the moon because they had the technology to get to space first I am fucking seething from this bullshit why is it that such a large section of people who enjoy anime have such astoundingly shitty taste?  Better story, seamless transitions, very accurate edits... It's better in almost all catgories, the talent one certainly has charisma, but it's mostly just putting characters in front of the same static background.  Very interesting. Unlike everyone who hates the ending, you're actually focused on what is there rather than what is absent. A lot of people dislike the ending because of the poor quality of the visuals and others dislike it because it ends up not answering any of the large amount of questions we have about the show. Others dislike it because it's a big mindfuck and is difficult to follow. I see where you're coming from, and looking at it from that perspective does give it a lot more merit. That said, I personally still believe that it's a bad ending, simply due to the fact that it just leaves us with even more questions that we initially started with and ending a show with unanswered questions is rarely a good thing. Sometimes it's nice. A bit of ambiguity to leave the viewer thinking about it for a long time after they're done watching. But ambiguity and complete lack of explanation are 2 different things, and Evangelion's original ending unfortunately does the latter. #74 -

Having both the psychological, character based original ending and EoE ending which answered our questions and had a semi complete ending was great. I say semi complete because the ending with Shinji and Asuka was ambiguous but then again I liked being able to try to interpret and understand what Asuka meant and what may’ve come next . Arguably the two endings can work simultaneously to give a wholesome synergetic ending so that's great too I guess. I always enjoy reading other people's thoughts on evangelion, especially it's ending because it's different for everyone and is pretty complex, so thanks! I didn't proof read this so sorry for any mistakes I know that the show's budget was small but badly animated is still badly animated. You can make excuses, but the result is the same. I'll give an extreme scenario. When a person watches a movie and has their experience ruined by the poor acting of one of the actors, finding out the the actors son died the week before will not suddenly make his acting seem better. It just gives an excuse. Same thing here. It doesn't matter if the budget was small. What matters is the end result, and the end result was random pauses like at the train/bus station (can't remember which) which lasts about a minute, characters' mouths being covered up to avoid drawing their lips moving and 2 final episodes where the animation fluctuated between acceptable and something that looks like it came straight out of a rough draft. This is why I and many others complain about the visuals. Yes, there's a valid reason for it but, as consumers, it doesn't matter to us. We expect better. We should expect better. If you like it the way it is, that's fine. It definitely fits the "mental breakdown" mood. But that doesn't mean it's well made and that you should just be happy with the inferior (from a technical standpoint) product. #78 -

 The rules are very easy to learn and all the cards have their effects written on them so it's super easy to get into. You're taken a bit aback if you're used to YGO since they use thousands as the base numbers. But in magic, most monsters have attack power under 10, and your starting life points are 20. So, the math tends to be faster and easier to keep track of. Mostly the land problem is only an issue if you didn't shuffle well. I still have a lot of fun when I play. I also really like unhinged games Unhinged cards are cards that have special but odd rules attached to them. Like "You can only attack this monster when you yell the battle cry 'Cum on my face, George'." or "You can sneak this card into play at any time without paying for it, but if a player catches you it is removed from game." #115 -

I've been watching it for 298 days now so I really need to get back into it haha, when I first started watching it I was so into it, it was really cool, the kind of hype you get when you watch sports anime like KnB and Haikyuu. I don't know what happened but I got to episode 33 or something and then stopped watching, I've watched up to 35 now. The shows good, or what I've watched is good, but I think I just stopped watching because I was watching other things. Ah well, if it's a good enough show it should be fine. Yato and Yukine cut a god damn Pacification Ring, a weapon so powerful that it can destroy the human realm! It didn't happen in the manga but it was a nice addition. The manga ending was a bit sadder too but if I'd have saw it animated I probably would've flooded my room with tears. What're you watching now if you don't mind me asking? I'll finish it sooner or later... I hope. I'm watching it now kinda, I've watched 38 episodes over 373 days haha. A lot of people love Gintama and I'd love to complete it but sometimes the humor is dry and can get boring, the characters are brilliant though. It's pretty repetitive so I'll probably just watch an episode a day and muscle through it that way. The show has a specific kind of a humor, if you don't find the first few episodes it's just not for you, still, many people say it doesn't really get funny until around episode 30 which I agree to, the first 25 or so episodes are just introducing the cast, if you get to the 30 episode mark and you don't enjoy it then there's really no point in watching it. Personally I think the episodes are hit and miss but I'd give it a go regardless. Sorry for the long post haha. | ||

In the UK you apply for 5 courses at universities, they'll either accept or decline you based on target grades and potential, if accepted you have a place on that course, as long as you get the required grades they offered you then you're in. Is it like that in Canada?

I also don't want to face the wrath of my teachers. Saying all that I probably should've revised a lot more, it wouldn't surprise me if I've done terribly.

And yea, just took the year off. Cause of certain choices I made the previous year (trying to skip out on additional fees), it wouldn't have been convenient for me to take that year of studies.

Okay, so where I am, the university costs about $7000/year.
If you're in a 'deregulated' program, you have to have good grades and pay an extra fee, the extra fee depends on the program. Commerce (business) is about $10k extra. So instead of paying $7k, you pay $17k per year.
And you choose your program/major starting second year. So knowing this I was like, that is totally not good (I knew there was an additional cost, but not that much). So come second year, I picked my major as Astronomy (just some random program so that they don't charge me extra). But while there, I took all business related courses, except for 2, which are exclusive for that program. Which I was planning to take that summer. (That way I would have only paid the regular fee, and come summer I would start paying the higher fee)
But due to switching in and out of commerce, I missed my chance to take the course in the summer, since I wasn't able to get into the program in time, which lead me to get into the program right before normal classes started. But I did not want to, because then I would have taken the year 2 courses that I missed, which are prerequisites for courses that I would have for the next two years, so would have been a waste...

Pretty much every full-time course here is £9,000 although there are a few exclusions where it can be up to £11,000 because it's a more prestigious university or a harder degree.

Interesting, we get student finance which is split into course costs, accomodation costs and a maintenance loan to live pretty much. How much you get all depends on how much your parents earn, whether you have children, a disability etc. All the money is payed back naturally but in monthly sums relative to how much you're earning.

Thing is, they have other similar courses that are more open for everyone, so pretty much the 700 who don't make the cut will either take another year in hopes of getting their grades up, or go for one of the similar programs that don't have that requirement.

ichigoichie (02/26/2015) [-] A young calligrapher basically gets told his work is "textbook" by an old man at the gallery out of anger he punches him and gets told to go sort himself out. The calligrapher goes to a really remote island thats full of country folk and he finds a new style of calligraphy. It's just really funny and light hearted to me, the story is unique and doesn't take over the show. I don't usually like comedy slice of life anime but this one is really good imo.

ichigoichie (02/24/2015) [-] It depends, I can't exactly specify a time because I gather all the facts on a specific subject roughly 150-200 on wider subjects e.g. anime in general or around 50 for anime specific comps e.g. naruto, then I gather pictures for each fact and resize them all so they're the same then randomly allocate a fact to a comp so all that can take up to 4 days but once all my comps are preset it takes around 10/20 minutes to upload and stuff
