No it is. It's a subcomic from vgcats. Super effective is the comic name.

Ah, never caved in to read that one...perhaps I am one step closer.

(Secretly I was hoping it a comic about pokemon, rather than video games in general)

Im just saying... I play more hardcore games where being a camper does absolutely nothing for you. In gears for example it comes down to out dodging your opponent and being perfect at landing all of your shots. 3 guys could flank you from different directions and if you have the skill your could clutch all three of them because you are better... It is the kind of game where someone bad at the game could play you to 20 and might only kill you once... It isn't about who sees who first and lands shots anywhere.

This was the first idea I had, but I figured that the advantage would not truly exist as people would simply stay outside the range of the star power's time limit. The real issue, I think, is knowing how much time to give. 5 seconds is way to long, but 3 seems a tad short.

Another thing I worded carefully is that the person should be truly invincible as I imagine there would be players who used the physics engine and explosives to their advantage if they were literally unkillable. But making them unaffected by weapons makes this not work.

I will cede to a professional's opinion though.

I usually play battlefield and there are ways around it. They did what you said with weapon fire, but that doesn't stop them from flying a vehicle to the enemy base, jumping out, and getting in their aircraft before the out of bounds limiter goes off. Then they'll have the enemies vehicles while theirs will respawn at their own base later, giving them everything.

you make it sound as if you don't want friends.
#71 - ichbinlecher (05/05/2013) [-]
Not in classes.

I have friends that I met with hobbies. These are people that are okay to joke around with. But I wouldn't talk to people in class. I would just walk in, listen, walk to the next class. People can (and sometimes did) assume I was lonely. But the truth was I simply was alone.

There are people who sit in corners, not because they don't feel welcome, but because they don't want to be part of that group.

Lol.............

I've been on both sides of this. I was a Christian for most of my life. I took the bullshit, I ate the bullshit, I preached the bullshit. Then I finally realized it was bullshit. I'm not actually debating anything. Mostly just pointing out bullshit. I never claimed anything I said as "the right way". I basically said you're wrong. That's it.

You assume I'm not "open-minded" because I assume certain givens.... Awesome. Everything we know and say about "God" is written in an old book that is a contradiction with binding around it.

I'm not a "meta-thinker" because I've come to a conclusion over the years that religion is bullshit? I was told I was a "meta-thinker" for dropping religion in the first place....

Changing your beliefs is hard, especially when eternal damnation is in the consequences. But that's in your beliefs too. You don't have to burn in hell, but if you believe hard enough, you just might.
#231 - ichbinlecher (05/02/2013) [-]
It's not that I don't think you are open minded. In fact, I wouldn't desire that really - I am not either - my position won't be swayed here. But I am willing at all times to assume for sake of argument that my position is wrong, or to argue from another person's position. I think it is profitable to be able to do this, and to be willing to, since it lets you not dismiss any truth that may be hidden away in garbage.

*you're, my apologies.
