I'm glad to hear that your marriage remains to be a happy one, then. Cheers!

Not really. The passion doesn't burn as bright once the honeymoon phase is over, sure, but interpreting that as a loss of love is wrong.

It's a lot like wine. In the beginning, it's straight up grape juice. Sweet, tangy, , delicious, you could drink it all day. And as time goes on it loses a lot of that edge and starts to become deeper, starts to take the flavor of the barrel and spices, alcohol forms. It's still delicious, but it is in a completely different, more intense, more intimate way. And sometimes you need to walk away from the glass for a few hours to sober up.

And if you don't actually take the time to get to know the person before getting hitched, don't live with them for a while to understand who they are, etc, you may come to find you don't like that kind of wine. So don't be an idiot and marry someone you've known for a year and never lived with. And if it happens, be an adult and end it on good terms, be a decent human being to them and it'll be fine.

Most of the time people come to resent their (ex) spouses due to their own insecurities and immaturities, not flaws in the actual relationship or spouse.

Then you may still have a warped view of how good marriages work
