Why are the popular anyway?

several reasons.

one of them, is of course the ones who think they were supposed to be born animals.. in the fandom we call them "otherkin" and they're like the weird kids that nobody sits with at lunch

a more popular reason, is that its just a way to express yourself online. Do something different, stand out in a crowd.

some people are in it for the porn, because furries make weird porn that nobody else does

and some people, like me, joined the fandom because its rather inviting (assuming you don't get dropped with the drama llamas anyways) a lot of the fandom consists of outcasts (the standouts, the weird kids, the black sheep) so people who never fit in, just kind-of.. well, fit in.

everyone just joins the fandom for their own unique reasons.

Hey, to help with your "Who would win in a fight" here's come facts I know about most the people:
Vader:
An EMP would shut down his suit, the emperor shut his suit down with high electricity voltage
A ligthsaber will cut through anything but another light sabers beam
Wolverine:
His healing factor is not infinite, you can kill him but it's difficult, the only way shown that is able to kill him is to leave his brain dead for a long enough time
Robocop:
An EMP would disable him
Dredd:
He has beaten batman in a fight before
Terminator:
Emp would disable him
