yes, I know it was catholism, I just didn't want to call it out. and really? not christian? Catholism was the first christian religion. you do realize the bible has been re-written several times too right? specifically during the medieval ages, when the church would just try to manipulate people. you really think there isn't at least one thing or two that was changed to manipulate the people?

Catholism is not the first. Orthodox Christians are the first...but it might impossible to be Orthodox these days because of what you said..The Bible has possibly been edited by a horrible person in a horrible way..to control the people..but of course there is a chance that they didn't..honestly only the Catholic Pope know because he holds the original Bible...The point is, why be christian if you believe the Bible has been edited? How do you know what is edited? or do you believe whatever is most convenient to you?..Maybe you are actually right, honestly, there is chance..but there is no way of really knowing...the best bet is to just follow the Bible as it is...and you know what, i know that sounds incredibly ignorant, and i sound brain washed..but it is what it is...i won't be able to say i'm christian if i don't trust the Bible completely..even the smallest details..again, i'm sorry..but there's just no where to go with this debate..

And I understand the whole point of freedom. But it's simply not fair that if you CAN prevent something bad from happening, not to do so; and even worse, PUNISHING people for participating in it when YOU could have stopped it all along. Not to mention the innocent people that get hurt; I mean, people kill in the name of god (yes, christian) all the time, yet god never stops them, nor does he help the innocent people that get hurt along the way. So wait, I'm supposed to think he loves me because he lets bad things happen to good people? I'm sorry, that just doesn't sit with me. If he really wanted us to follow his word that badly, he could just show us himself. Yes, I'm well aware of the "BUT JESUS ALREADY DID THAT" argument, and if that is so then the all powerful god should have no problem with doing it again. But how can I do the right thing when the all powerful, all knowing, all loving god does not? (I have actual quotes from the bible that prove how much of a dick god can be). But that's the thing, he DOES make you do that; as it's either his way or you suffer for eternity (which is also unfair considering cultural differences and gaps of knowledge that prevent his existence from entering the minds of people. I mean, say a baby is born in Japan, but because christianity is not the main religion there, it is not baptized. It does, and thus goes to hell to suffer for eternity despite the fact that it's done nothing wrong, and only suffers based upon the actions of it's parents. Oh, and if he gets to go to heaven out of some clause then that should also count for every baby in the world. There shouldn't be some 'out' for babies from different cultures or languages. But if there isn't, then the baby suffers for no reason, yet if there is, it's unfair to other babies).
