Just go to Arbys for a Jamocha shake or Wendys for a frosty. Or make a frozen mocha at Sheetz. Probably more expensive, but you get more and it's waaaaay better. I'm talking to someone on the internet about frozen drinks. My life has officially bottomed out.

No bro, just no. Having an SSD means everything. They truly are the future in computers. Mechanical hard drives will eventually die out as the years go by. Like hylebus said, EVERYTHING is faster. It's not just loading up windows... playing movies, browsing folders, copying/pasting. Every task you do in windows is so much snappier and more efficient it changes your entire perspective on what your computer can handle.
User avatar #25 - PrincessTwilight (05/29/2013) [-]
Sure, I planned to get one in the future, when they cost less. Their price is rapidly declining.

Also, an SSD goes bad sooner than a HDD, though each still is capable of lasting many years.
User avatar #27 - theist (05/29/2013) [-]
I heard that some went bad and got a bad rap a year or so ago, but mine has been working exactly the same from the day I bought it, and I keep my pc on about 10 hours a day, every day. The ssd has an estimated 2 million hour life span. If I kept the computer on every day of the year, 24 hours a day, the ssd still would survive about 228 years.
User avatar #29 - PrincessTwilight (05/29/2013) [-]
For the time being, I still plan to use a HDD, just because they cost about 10 times less than an SSD.

I'm certain that the price of an SSD will lower to the point that a HDD becomes obsolete, though. Eventually.
User avatar #38 - theist (05/29/2013) [-]
Dude if you can afford ramdisk, you should be fine. I bought my 120gb ssd for $1 per gigabyte. I still have another mechanical drive for all my other shit, but for windows this ssd is a blessing. Honestly though... you can get a 240gb ssd for less than $200 nowadays. That's not that expensive.

#19 - hylebus (05/29/2013) [-]
It's just not that. EVERYTHING is faster, as HDD's are current bottleneck. Main difference between HDD and SSD are access times and that's crucial on large amount of small files, like internet browser cache. Chrome went like 300% faster when I installed SSD. And I thought Chrome was fast before.

Martian Manhunter (like Clark) doesn't even have a species. Really, it's basically a requirement for Marvel, DC, and anime heroes to have at least one dead parent. And generally, if only one parent died they either had to watch them die and/or the other parent is a deadbeat that hasn't seen them since they were a kid.

Try to save some money on some decent DAC/Amp too. If you're living in USA, Schiit Magni + Modi are $200 and they're decent starter set for K701's. Specialty of these headphones is extremely precise reproduction, in other words, if you use crappy sound card with them, they will sound crappy too. Try to read some articles on www.head-fi.org/ , especially the forum is great if you want any advice on headphones.
