Good Guy Pope
I'm here to add that famous people are criticize no matter what they do. They want to do a good deed; they get called fake. They want to say fuck it and enjoy their lives a little bit; they get called greedy asshats.
I think I believe in this pope more.
Right? I really hate it when people say that someone's doing something "for the publicity" as if it invalidates the action. O no, the pope is trying to look good while doing good things as the head of an organization that attempts to do good.
No, the organization hasn't attempted to do good in a LONG fucking time. Francis is making sure that they change that behavior by making them all look like asses, by just doing it himself. And as mentioned, publicity or not, that's fucking amazing. Good on him.
You should research about all the good that Catholic Church is doing arround the world and nobody cares or noticies.
Missionarires are working hard and even givin their lives to help others.
Yeah, I know people did and does horrible things in the name of Jesus, but let's not invalidate the hard work of the true christians.
Maybe I'm missing some things, but from what I understand/have heard/seen, the big Christian organizations don't actually do a lot of what they say they do. There's always going to be exceptions and slander, of course, but that's my understanding of the situation. I'm not talking about average day to day Christians just doing nice things, I'm talking about the actual GROUPS and organizations.
OK, I understand.
Maybe you are correct. I think we'll never know what are going on on the headquarters of the big organitations. Good thing? Bad things? Both?
