Magicka, I get, but Terraria is anything but casual in it's later parts.

Like seriously shit gets real in Terraria.

User avatar #43 - hydraetis (03/09/2015) [-]
True, but it can still be played in a more casual way at least if you're not going for the shitload of end-game content.

Like with minecraft, you have the people that just do the simple and casual stuff, then you get the people building a 1:1 replica of the Enterprise.

They are great at making games, no one said they were great at being developers. Thats why mods is such a big thing with Elder Scrolls games. They make the frame, we make the rest.
User avatar #41 - hydraetis (03/09/2015) [-]
I still have to keep my slight reservations because of that, though. The game shouldn't need modders to fix it (also some things just can't be fixed period by the community)

But America's involvement was still critical. I'm not allocating anything. I think Russia/Britain/America all working together was what won the war. I guess France a little bit too. Americas involvement pressured Germany to put more troops on the western front to defend while Russians were also attacking the eastern front. Hitler couldn't spare any troops to either side because of the overwhelming amounts of troops and he was forced on the defensive. And I do think supplies are crucial to winning a war, since Germany was a powerhouse at the time and some Russian soldiers didn't even have weapons. I don't believe the allies would have won if America hadn't stepped in or at least within the short time frame that they did. like I said I'm not crediting America with the victory alone, they just played a key role just like every other allied country. And you are correct America is an ocean away, which is why the u.s. tried to stay out of the conflict for as long as possible

Hm, I'd say we played a key role in the allied victory, but I think people think it's the u.s. victory because shit wasn't going too good till America stepped in, then the tides turned. Do I think the u.s. Was responsible for winning WW2? No. Do I think America's involvement shifted the board and was a very critical part in the allied victory? Oh yeah definitely.
User avatar #64 - hydraetis (03/09/2015) [-]
"till America stepped in, then the tides turned", see in my opinion you still seem to be allocating a little too much credit.

US participates with Allies in North Africa - 1942
US moves with Allies into Siciliy & Italy - 1943
D-Day - 1944

Russia participates in war after Germany invades - 1941

The US contributed far more in the way of supplying equipment (which was made possible by the fact that the US is an ocean away and thus was not being bombed to hell) than troops in regards to Germany. And really, it was when Germany broke its pact with Russia that "the tides turned". If Germany hadn't split its resources by doing so, I don't believe the Allies would have stood a chance.

User avatar #66 - byobgraffpro (03/09/2015) [-]

It's not about race you fucking imbecile. If blacks happened to be 51% of the tax paying population does that mean that everyone that is not black that accepts benefits for whatever goddamn reason is freeloading off of them? What is your ass backwards logic in assuming that race is the decisive factor here?! Be mad at immigrants, sure, that might be a viable reason for concern, even complain about them getting your tax dollars if they happen to do little or no work to earn benefits, but don't fucking act like any fucking system in charge of your money is designed to take your money because you are white and fuck you over! Race focused, bigoted, ignorant fuck bags like you with short-sighted hatred and intolerance are the only reason that there are any affirmative action and diversity laws in place because they, like you, thought they were so fucking much better than anyone that was different from them and they refused to hire, integrate, serve, or otherwise equally treat people that they don't understand or have the faintest interest in understanding!

Another fun fact: the only time I did summer camp I applied for the marksmanship one, but for whatever reason ended up being placed into leadership instead (even though I'm pretty sure I only applied for marksmanship and left secondary choice empty). Even without putting any real effort into it (this was after I had stopped giving a shit in cadets), I still got the highest leadership evaluation scores in my flight, even with multiple of those "shoe-in for WO 1st class"-types in my flight.
User avatar #53 - hydraetis (03/09/2015) [-]
Umm maybe? Probably not lol. I quit in I think 2012.

To be honest, the upper ranks of my squadron both in terms of cadets and the officers where loaded with total imbeciles. Like the year where pretty much everyone in my level was getting promoted to Sgt (including the most notoriously obnoxious and incompetent kid in the squadron), I was left at FCpl, and was kept at the rank until the day I quit granted after a year of not being given the promotion I stopped giving enough of a fuck to try to get it .

The last couple of years I would just hang out around the building, not giving a shit about anything. Somewhat worked out in my favour too, as a level 4+ I didn't have any lessons to go to, and as a FCpl I didn't have any responsibilities regarding running the squadron. Plus pretty much everyone got used to the idea that I just stopped giving a shit entirely (I regularly skipped opening/closing parade by just hanging out in the change rooms or empty classrooms), so most of the time they didn't bother trying to get me to do stuff.

The range team was pretty much the only thing I put any effort into. As well known as I was in the squadron for not giving a flying fuck about the regular stuff, I was equally well known for my involvement with range. I mean that to the point where our CO (only qualified range officer) would seriously just come out, hand me the keys to the supply room, then just go back into the admin office and let me run the show every practice. It was hilarious.
