Other way round for me, yeah I got money and my own house but I have no free time, I go to the gym, get home and make food, do the washing, cleaning, ironing, all that shit, find out it is 10pm so I better go to bed alone without anyone to talk to and be up at half 5 ready for the next day.
If I didn't have bills to pay I would leave what I do and go back into education, because the real world sucks balls.

Lucky sonovabitch. I get the early morning 6am start but have a two hour interval in the middle so finish at 5pm. Most of my contracts are an hour out of town so no point driving in for anything. Good luck with it man. Is it a filler job between school and career/further education or just a job for money to keep you going until you make a decision as to what you'll do next?

If you have a good group of friends then it's not so bad. You all tend to stay in contact after school. Try get into a job where you're around lots of other employees, like a supermarket or something, at least for a bit. You'll find there'll be people you get along with and befriend and others who piss you off. Just like at school pretty much. I work solo for the majority of my day and most of the workforce is rotating backpackers so when i make a new friend they leave. There's always my flatmates but you get serious cabin fever when they're your only social life, even if they're your best mates.

Damn man. Real world sucks. I might be seeing my best friend this weekend for a couple hours, haven't seen him in a month. I think I will save up to re-join education, the work was hard but at least it wasn't mind numbingly repetitive.
And when things become stressful that is the "interesting" bit, I actually get excited when things go wrong because it is a change of pace.

I love it when there's those days when people's schedules line up allowing some time with mates. All my friends took working gap years so are all leaving within the next two weeks for the big cities. I'll be following in july but it's still a few months with next to no reliable social contact, as in people you have history with rather than new people. I'm working in the vineyards in 28 degree celsius heat 50 hours a week. Shit as hell work, awesome as fuck pay. And yeah, I love it when there's flat/work drama as it breaks the monotone of cutting plants/exercising/shopping/eatingsleeping/repeating. I don't go out of my way for it though.
