Lead has a melting point of 163 c

You're telling me paper is more heat resistant than lead?

451 degrees Celsius is 843.8 degrees Fahrenheit. At 843 degrees, mostly everything in a room is far past or at its auto-ignition temperature.

If you opened a door to a normal residential room that had 451 degrees Celsius contained inside, it would flash over.

Paper's autoignition point is 218 celsius but yes it will also burn at 451 celsius.

From what I've heard, she was in a camp that the nazi's specifically used for prisoner exchange, so they kept those prisoners somewhat healthy to hide what was going on in other camps. I can't find anything on it though, so I may be wrong.

I don't know if this is true, but last I heard, it was taken in a officers quarters or something, they were keeping a dozen or so prisoners safe and relatively healthy for personal and, media/propaganda (E.g they would use them as a face to show people what was in the camps kind of thing) reasons. I have no source on the information and no citation, but that's just what I heard.

I took this picture in Auchwitz when I went to Poland (you weren't allowed to go inside the bunker) but there weren't even Beds in a lot of the bunkers, they had to sleep on the floor!

I've been to Auschwitz and other concentration camps, and yes you're allowed in the bunkers, they slept on straw with the thinnest blankets ever, The straw on wood beds

When I went we weren't allowed in because it was the middle of winter and there was about 70 of us. We were allowed in about a metre then had to come out! There was loads of scratches on the beds, like names and lines!

If I remember correctly, near the end of the war, one of the camps (Buna, I believe) was evacuated and only prisoners in the infirmary were left behind. 2 days after, the soviets liberated those in the infirmary upon arrival.

Also, didnt it take a while to take a photo back then? They just asked her "hey, can you just stay in that bed and smile for a while, even though you've been trapped in this hellhole for god knows how long. This might make it to a feels post one day"
#94 - anon (10/28/2014) [-]
No, it didn't.

i'm sure all the other war pictures you've seen were staged cause it would take too long to take them...
