Which is more ethical though? A clone army bred for war and nothing else, living basically like slave soldiers (I don't know what the plan was for when the war was over, would they all be free? probably not but what will they need a giant army for once the dust has settled and the galaxy has stabilized?), or normal people pulled from their normal lives? On one hand the clones were not normal people, they were modified to be less affected by the stresses of war than a normal person, and when they die they don't leave behind a family. But they don't have any say, they're slaves. I don't know, seems to me there's no real answer, not an easy one anyway.
